    That's a long wait...
Guys, what exhaust can you suggest for a 599? Standard car is very quiet beyond
the initial start up and you would have to be revving 6000+ to get any sound from
the car. Am thinking of an exhaust that would make a nice growl from 3 to 6k rpm...
of course no highway drone either. I dont have any experience with aftermarket
exhausts at all. Was told that there was a black 599 with switchable exhaust that
sounds wild! Even the HGTE exhaust doesnt offer a much louder alternative.

Apart from the specifications, the only different i see is the paint scheme. There are no external face lifts or slight touches to make it different from the other variants. Look at the Veyron pur sang, Hermes etc. They are just in different colors but with one hell of a price tag.

Can't be. If its his, you'll probably see a hint of pink on the body or white fluffy interior with optional vibrating sport seats. :p

Think it's not the gearshiftimg alone but just keeping excessively busy heel and toeing and getting the perfect downshift whilst keeping the right brake pressure not unbalanced the car and all... Basically being ridiculously busy when one doesn't have to... And still being slower and an equivalent driver in a well sorted flappy pedal car...

Switchable exhaust would be Kreissieg. Super high pitch, almost F1-like. Back to stock setup when turned off. Cost about 15k?

Should be able to find a clip of a Mansory 599 with Capristo bursting off at the lights. He's on FChat as well.

Exquisite will do Capristo too on special order... Dunno about 599s but there's an LP560 here with the remote-controlled version.

Oh boy, I need to catch up with some pages.

Bro, just check-in to youtube & type 599 exhaust. Turn up the volume & enjoy but take note that recording+compression will not give you the actual sound.

Most dealers like Exq M, KBS etc maybe even HSM can help you with that or you can order online if you're brave. Remember that installation is a few hundred bucks too!

From the sound of it, you've gotten yourself a 599? :)

A friend put a kreissieg exhaust on his black 612 & I gotta admit it sounds absolutely amazing. It has something like 15 different settings! I believe KBS did the installation for him.

Hello, try shifting one of these Italians from pre 2000.

I missed a drive with 512boxer & Countach to Genting. Would have been an epic drive with photoshoot but we'll definitely do it again. Leang! :D

The Italians, they don't like to shift when cold & needs a good 10mins of warm up drive to be more pleasurable, akin to foreplay. Sometimes, you'd need to double clutch to get into gears. U're forgetting :)

They are not that easy to drive. A bit overrated IMHO, we love them simply because of the badge, the body, sometimes the sound & because we pay so much!

The modern ones have improved by a milestone especially when they began with an LCD screen for your meters...
