FYI! warning to all looking at the Black on black cs with the italian flag painted on the hood. I spent 800 on a ppi and this car is the biggest pos ever. there is at min 20,000 worth of damage and service that has not been not to mention that it was broken into and smashed to **** while trying to be hot wired. for any that really going to look at this car I will gladly send you the ppi. Also jim Lyons is def a questionable dealer(sports car company). Below is an email exchange between me and Jim after he neglected to tell me the car had been broken into and told me every day for 3 weeks that the car would arrive to boblief motors for a ppi and every i called gary at boblief and asked if the car arrived and gary would tell me its not here yet and he would cc jim and jim would respond will be there tomorrow. this went on for 3 WEEKS. I was ready to buy and for some reason jim kept lieing to me and gary about delivery the car. more so i felt bad for gary because they are a small operation and they had to schedule a time to slot the car in and every time the car never showed up they lost biz. this is crazy and so not professional. Gary is a top notch guy and put up with this crap for 3 weeks until the car got there. Also jim said the battery was the problem........ WRONG and I would have never found this out unless Gary had told me the truth. As far as i know they still cant start the car. because they had to hotwire the car to do the ppi because the ignition was destroyed along with steering column center console and numerious other things. All of this info was never said to me from the seller. You would think the seller would tell me that the clutch was at point of not working wouldnt you? or maybe because i am in nyc he thought he would just throw the car on a truck and let me pick up the mess when it got to nyc. anyways ppi ava for anyone who wants it . here is the email. i cant belive that he had the balls to say i was jerking him off when he f**ked me off for 3 week and lied about the reason the car was not delivered. wow sorry to hear about the hassle Im sure if you want a no stories CS that some of the guys on here can help out.
I called them once about a car and they were so rude on the phone that I just walked. I'm sure they sell cars, but I don't think they are very customer oriented.
well from the sequence of emails he got what he was asking --- it looks like he set you off by accusing you of a phony offer. anyway best 800 bucks spend i would say.
Derek, thanks for sharing the results of your due diligence. Interesting that several other Fchatters have looked and PPI'd that CS, but no one has cared/dared to reveal the real "story". And that's just crazy unprofessional behavior by Jim Lyons and a quick search on here yields similar experiences.
I got a 430 for a GREAT price. So i will converting that over to scud standards as i did my 360. So i am super happy with the car I got for the price. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Why?....... well for starters I dont have 130,000 dollars to buy a clean stradale or I would have. And whats wrong with updating the 430 to scud? it can be done over time paying for the parts one by one and its and enjoyable process for me. not to mention it will never cost me any where near what a real scud will cost. and when I am done I will pull all the scud parts off selll them make my money back plus more. How do i know this ? Because i just did the same with my 360 pullled all the parts and sold them and made back more money than i ever spent on them in the first place. And see the photo. I know for a fact you cant tell me my 360 did not look ****ing amazing. All oem parts. there is your answer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Derek! I was thinking on getting that car a few months ago!! When I got quoted for the taxes the number was 75K to get it inside here and that not includes the shipping costs!! Congrats on your 430! It looks cleans and sharp. Look foward to see your mods.
SCC had the "Eddie Griffen" Enzo on e-bay with no mention of the crash and proclaimation of it's prestine condition.
Thanks man, she will be going flat white wrap with black scud rims. full scud bumpers with the carbonfiber sideskirts. carbon fiber oem scud mirrors. and i am working on some kind of crazy headers straight pipe and straight out the back system with a ecu tune to run on race gas. should be pretty good. Only hard part is going to be getting those ****ing seats. last quote i got 12,000 euro
Derek, thanks for sharing your experience with Fchat. Here is Sports Car Company's description on the POS Challenge Stradale VIN # ZFFDU57A840134621 "2004 360 CHALLENGE STRADALE BLACK STRIPE GREAT PRICE GREAT VALUE: This car is truly extraordinary. Passenger compartment features like new leather and extensive carbon fiber including carbon fiber seat backs, carbon fiber console and carbon fiber door panels. Car has excellent engine (cough), has great clutch (cough), is in great mechanical condition (cough), and has great service history (cough)."
Good looking 430 you got there. Is Scott's Stradale the only one that is without issues (if he's still selling)?
