I also enjoyed the review. The host Matt Farah is a car guy and provided a good review.

I enjoyed it. A couple of mistakes in the information though.

I agree. Not bad. Kinda honest.

I didn't recognize the lack of radio buttons or parking brake before... and I've sat in the car twice!

One thing is for sure... the way he slammed down the hood proves you never want to buy a rental car!

Maybe next week they will review a 355 replica, and pass it off as real for two weeks. Then admit it was really an MR2.

EDIT: I just watched the video and there is lots of incorrect information in that video, LOTS.

The 458 doesn't have a parking break? Is there one automatically engaged or...?

Yep... it's automatic. So is the gas cover -- there is no gas cap.

Fun review and a good enthusiastic reviewer. He does, though, need to get his facts straight - wall to wall misinformation.

well i guess i want my reviewer to be more experienced and better informed. I guess I just didnt connect w/ the driver on a "mental" level. ;) I did enjoy Chris Harris' review.

Lastly my other point is there are soo many car reviewers these days that have no idea what they are talking about. Just look on youtube.

Interesting. I liked it better than watching Top Gear.

its just a heavy duty air tight valve that closes when one pulls the fuel nozzle out. Its on some Ford cars. sound clever until one has to replace the valve, $$$$ vs just buying a cap.

His reviews are the worst. He usually drives cars on straight roads..romps on it for 2-3 seconds and then goes off the brochure information.

Not the most exciting review ever but it was very informative. Stinkin' squirrel was lucky too!

I didn't think he was that bad. Sure, he's no Chris Harris or Jeremy Clarkson, but most of the content was correct. Also, the car wasn't a factory demo and in fact is owned by Gotham Dream Cars, who will rent the car out to customers.

I thought he respected it enough to refrain from during lurid drifts (at least on camera) like Jeremy does to every car he comes across.

Preferred this to most professional reviews - he actually gives you a bit of useful information that most reviewers skip. Plus it's good to hear someone having fun. I test drove the 458 on a track and had so much fun I had no idea what was in the car - just paid attention to the rev counter and the track - it's that sort of car!!

Matt's been doing this a long time, and he's a member here.

TheSmokingTire is one of a couple different review-style productions he's been a part of and it doesn't pretend to be anything more than what it is. Its not supposed to be an Edmunds review or TopGear.

Fun and informative. Its just hard to inform those who keep their fingers on the pulse of Ferrari like us. :)
