blue interior kinda ruins it for me :(

but yes, it's a pretty color. it is listed as a standard color from the vintage (50's/60's) range.

Yes, a darker blue, like a Marine would be nice. Maybe in Alcantara..But the ext is gorgeous. I love that the diffuser is painted.

We built three cars this way and each one is very different. This car also has a monochromatic rear diffuser as opposed to the flat black that is standard. This was done at the factory so makes this car somewhat special. Great color!

Doug- The car has had an HGTE retrofit, too. At the very least, it has an HGTE exhaust and wheels.

Looks lower too, so i would say they dropped to HGTE specs.

SS- You must live somewhere with really smooth roads and flat driveway approaches. If you do want a 4x4, I understand the 612 replacement may have it.

It has the full HGTE pkg, supposedly there is a GTO due for it's replacement. The 599 or Scud with all the goodies. I have learned after restoring a few cars it is way cheaper to buy someone else's toy.

This color (and others) do not render perfectly accurate on the computer screen. I bet it looks much better in person.

It's stunning in person. The dealer photos seem to make the interior look more bright/raw than it does in person. The interior is a great complement to the exterior.

Stunning combination, even the blue interior looks great. There was one in the same colour with a nero interior down here, looked stunning!

Is it possible to drop a standard 599 to HGTE specs (lowered look) without changing to HGTE suspension parts? I mean..just by winding down the springs like in a 430?

Will be thinking of doing that. The 599 I have in mind cant be converted to HGTE. Late 2006 production car. Factory says cant be done. But having a lowered look would be nice.

I think that color is Azzurro California. It does changes shades in different lighting.

+1 I was thinking "60's powder blue; nice" until I upchucked upon seeing a pic of the interior.

Guys, that car is Azzurro Metallic, which is different from Azzurro California Metallic, and Avio Metallic. Avio is lighter. Azzurro Cal is a richer blue. Azzurro Metallic is different. And yes, it is a 50's/60's color, as is Avio.

CSLindzy took the words out of my mouth, though he has a better eye than me, because I was going to say, "isn't that Scuderia, Azzurro California, cause it looks like that to me." I guess I'm wrong though, but not very familiar with Azzurro Metallic, or the difference between Azzurro Metallic and Azzurro California? Any Thoughts?

Azzurro California below on a Ferrari California which I'm sure you all have seen by now....

Azzurro Metallic is a bit more "steely" (not sure what other word to use, dusty maybe?) than Azzurro California Metallic, which is a richer and deeper blue, but not as much as Monoco. Avio Metallic is a lighter shade than either. The Atlanta 599 (George's) is the only Azzurro Metallic Ferrari I have seen. It is a 50-60's anniversary color, where Californa is not. Azzurro Metallic really does look a lot more like the light blue metallic Ferrari's from that era, where as California seems like a more contemporary color (though I know it goes back a few generations on the V8 model line). I do not believe Avio is a 50-60's color. I think Avio was a new color for 08 that was introduced with the 430 Scuderia on the show car (to the best of my knowledge). So the only pics I have found of Azzurro Metallic are this 599 at Atlanta. Everything else is Azzurro California. I guess I am becoming the resident Ferrari blue historian (hoping to own a blue Ferrari one day & these are my favorite shades) ... hoping to possibly be at the Ferrari factory next month & plan to try to see these paint samples next to one another.
