Bought 430 spider and 575 from MIke Sheehan, good deal and great low milage cars.

Bought Lusso at auction, price was tooooo good to pass on. Daytona from Southern Cal classic \ exotic dealer

My experience with dealers has not been very good, I found the nearest dealer to be patronizing and quotes such as " well IF you could afford it, it would be this much $ " this resulted in my standard reply of yes I can afford it and you can go $&@€ yourself and shove the F car right up your &$¥.

To be fair to the dealer in question I look and generally dress like a homeless person and have a rather foul Irish mouth but my mom and priest and several heads of state are fine with that so there ya go

Check all the online sites regularly. Check the F dealers websites as well as other large independents. When you see something you like, be ready to call directly and negotiate. Do not bid online. Make a call.

Like others have said, lots of sources out there, and it is not about the source, but the car itself. Do your due-diligence and have whatever car checked out thoroughly as possible or practical.

    Auto Trader
    Ebay
    Cars.com
    DuPont Registry
    Ferrari Dealers
    Ferrari sites like this one
    Random web searches
    etc

I ended up buying from an authorized dealer because after evaluating the details it was the best overall deal, but I would have just as readily bought from some guy who ran a classified ad online.

Your mom.....really? She must be a real sport --- lol

My mom's probably the only person I've ever known or met (including the Administrator of NASA, former President Ford, a few US Senators, assorted Clergy, my Physicians, Dentists, Attorneys, and former Professors) whom I have NEVER dropped the F-bomb on!!!

I bought mine from a reputable Ferrari dealer. Reason? They had the one that I wanted, and I felt safe buying from them because they made the sure the vehicle was in tip top shape because their name and reputation is on the line with every car they sell.

I bought mine from an independent dealer specializing in high-end, mostly European, cars. I was well treated and, since I bought it, have emailed the dealer and his chief mechanic a lot of tech questions. I have always received quick and courteous responses. If I ever decide to buy another Ferrari, I'll go back to that dealer.

i bought my first from an individual, and so far it has turned out to be the best car i've ever bought, mechanically speaking. the next few came from the local dealer. very good cars, can't complain about them. then i went back to buying from individuals...got hosed once and another car needed more work than i was told. overall, i will buy from whoever has the right car. :)
