I was approached by a movie production company who is looking for a modern (think 360, 430 etc) Ferrari they could use in a movie that will be shot in Chicago downtown and Naperville. They need the car for 4 separate days (first being August 3rd) and have a driver for it. They pay for the rent, have insurance, would allow the owner on the set and give the owner credit perhaps even a small part in the film.

Send me a PM if you're intersted and I'll connect you. I have nothing to do with this, just passing along the information.

No. For a comedy film where they need to shoot a few scenes in Naperville and Chicago this month.

We had a FChatter with a nice F430, but the company didn't pick him. I suppose they found something else (hard to imagine what could top a F430, but they were also looking for modern Lambos).

Meanwhile I'm trying to find out the location of the set.

No-brainer. You said it's a comedy--it's OBVIOUS where they found their car...

    I said comedy, not soft-porn.
    :)

Too late now. They already had their first day of shooting.

In all seriousness, Tony is definitely eccentric but I truly like him.

Not sure, but I think he may have run into some serious financial difficulties as of late.

Looks like they found their car, but not a Ferrari:

    Countach?

Interior looks weird and the Countach would definitely fit the definition of a recent exotic.

They're shooting in Chicago today and tomorrow, but I haven't figured out yet where.

I think I saw these guys filming last night as I was driving on I-88 East near Naperville. It was a yellow Gallardo Spyder behind a white pickup truck with a large movie camera on a tripod and two guys in the back. I bet the cops would have had a field day with the two unrestrained guys in the back working the camera.

They were filming the Lambo driving behind them, then they gave a signal and the Lambo took off and passed them. Then he slowed down, fell back behind, and it looked like they were going to try it again. This was at around 8:00 p.m. I only saw them for a mile or so though, as my exit came up. Kinda neat.

    Yup, that's definitely them.

Small budget indie film (half a million). Nonetheless shot in 3D. Coming out next summer.
