Location is in the Village of Great Falls....
Hmmm, used to be listed as 7-9AM. The first time I went there this spring I got there at 6:55 and was the 3rd car there. This past weekend I got there at 7:10 or so and there were only two spots left! Side lot was filled by 7:45.
Yes, I figured I better put the starting time up by 15 minutes in case the person wanted a parking spot in the main lot. People still say 7 - 9 am, but like you said, it is pretty full by 7:30.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again on Saturday! Hey Chris...I'm sorry, I don't have any more pics of the Morgan. Luckily Toggie uploaded some. My friend George asked if I could post a photo of the Black Ferrari 16M that he was lucky enough to ride in from FoW to Katies. I thought someone already posted a photo, but I didn't see it. So, here you go George (lucky guy)! Bill P. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is a great looking car (probably performs great too)! I heard that 16m's came with an alacantra interior as the only choice but that particular car was special ordered with red leather on the seats.
Yes, I have to admit, I was pretty lucky (I have some pretty great friends)! And the pics I got from inside the car are pretty neat, too. I'll have to figure out how to post them..... Originally, we were going to come up in an older 944, which would have been a fun ride, but just not the same - it was a change in plans I could live with! Thanks Bill! gp
I'm going to head down tomorrow -- planning to arrive about 6:45am. Hoping to see another good FChat turnout. - Eric
Eric, Looking forward to seeing you again! It's been over a year! Hey Brendan, Why don't you have the ladies come to the Cars & Coffee!! Bill
You were right Bill! Thanks!!! I'm still drooling, that is my favorite car of all time. Seeing Ovi's SL65 Black Series was a real treat too, as well as all the other beautiful cars
As a matter of fact...YES. For those of you who missed today's event (because you thought it was going to rain), you missed Alexander Ovechkin's SL65 AMG! Some of our MD FChatter's made the trip to Cars and Coffee to display their Ferrari's (Modena 2904, Curtisc63 and 355Dreamer). By the way Thanks Curtis for letting William sit in my all time Favorite Ferrari!! He spent the rest of the day rubbing it in that he got to sit in a TR! It was great seeing the rest of the gang and it was a pleasure to meet up with Bill (Protouring442) and his wife Christie! I hope you guys had a great time? Anthony, I can't wait to hear about your ride in the Aerial Atom! Another favorite vechile for me was a 1930 Franklin Roadster. What a beautiful car!! Enjoy the pics!! Bill P. The Atom is a regular attendee. He doesn't come EVERY week, but he has made it out to a few shows! Bill
Lol last week was the first time I stopped by and he wasn't there. I will see it in the future for sure. I love the atmosphere and the people seem really nice.
Looking for another reason to drive your car. . .another Cars & Coffee tomorrow and every Sunday. Details below. Would be great to see all of the awesome rides that show up at Great Falls!! Let's pray for good weather! When: Every SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!! Time: 8:30 AM - 10 AM (or there abouts) Where: Starbucks @ Fairlakes Circle 12599 Fair Lakes Circle Fairfax, VA 22033
Thanks, Bill for the pictures. You've managed to capture my essence, if not my good side. To be fair, though, I can't say that I have a good side. ;-) As for my Ariel Atom experience: It was everything I expected it to be. Power-to-weight ratio defined! A driving experience that is a feast for the senses in the traditional wind-in-your-hair-bugs-in-your-teeth fashion. It was over too soon, like any theme park e-ticket ride. Thanks to Fchatter, curt for the ride. You are the man!
Kickin' it old school in the UUNET hat. I like to tell people it's the most expensive hat I own. ( I started buying MCI/WorldCom @ ~$19/share and rode it all. The way. Down...)
My wife and I had a great time! A big thanks to Bill P for hanging out with us for a bit and showing us around. It's a bummer that we got there as late as we did, but we definitely enjowed the cars we saw! Shiny Side Up! Bill
