Awesome thanks, forgot to check back on the Coys auction. Do you know what the original body looked like?
I was there: I don´t think it was a real bid. And the remanufactured body looked terrible and somehow unfinished. Shut lines were way off. Regards Wolfi
I was not there! The owner contacted me afterwards and offered me the car for brokerage "...but for nothing under 1 Million Euros!" I responded: "Bon voyage........!" Ciao! Walter
Is anyone following the Gooding auction? I was curious to hear how #2105 did yesterday. Prices appear to have been a shade disappointing so far, overall. Thanks
Thanks. Seems about right (in my humble opinion). I think that is a new high price for the model also.
I brokered a Zagato 3 years ago for 1.15 Million Euro. Another car was sold earlier this year for 1.8 Million $$ in the US. One was sold recently for about 1.2 Million $$. So - #2105 made a very nice performance in Pebble this year! Ciao! Walter
Also, does anyone know what the Sebring hammered for at the Coys auction at the 'ring 8/14? I believe the est was 65-80k Euro
Yep, I have been there, hammer price was 58.000 + premium 10 %. It looked really nice, good paint and fine interior. I don´t know anything about the technics. GM
It was not a good car (despite it very nice interior!). The vendor offered me the car for sale 2 months ago - I denied! Ciao! Walter
#2105 made a strong result with Gooding & Co in Monterey last weekend: $ 1,595,000 and the 200S #2401 set a new world-record price for this type! Ciao! Walter
THis parts came from an Allemano A6G-2000. It was build as #2111 and later re-numbered by the Factory to #2166. Ciao! Walter
Walter Rumor has it that RM will be selling an A6G2000 Zagato at their London auction. Is it the rebody that failed to sell at Coys? Do you know the entire history of the car? Thanks
I can`t see a significant value of those parts. The owner of the car is aso a member of this forum... Ciao! Walter
Yes, I know the entire history of this car. A stupid decision to enter the car in the Bonhams sale in London in October. It wasn`t sold in Monaco earlier this year (although the highest bid was OK for such a rebodied car but the owner thought otherwise and offered it to me for brokerage for 1 Million Euros minimum. I denied.....). If it doesn`t sell in London its "burned"...... Ciao! Walter
Agreed, the bid would have been quite sufficient if it had been real, but IMHO no one was bidding on the car in Monaco. And having looked at the "quality" of the new body I am not amazed. Besides: the whole auction was a joke. E. g. the Ferrari 330GTC was declared sold and one week later was back at the dealer Neuser who had been offering the car for a long time already. Wolfi
This is your advert on Ebay: MASERATI Allemano A6G 2000 VINTAGE NUMBER PLATE+LOGO Aparentely this was from a renumbered car back than, the person intested in this item probably knows more than i do about this subject!!This part as been laying here in the garage for maybe 45 years!!! lot´s of good car´s have been here on those day´s!!!What else can i tell you?? Good bidding http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184285 Question is now - how does this parts came to Portugal??? More infos? Ciao! Walter
Paulo, yes, those cars in Portugal are very interesting. Unfortunately almost all (?) Ferraris had been tracked down in your country while Maseratis are "lost" somewhat in Portugal. Would be great if you could post old photos of those cars on this forum. Ciao! Walter
2137 as seen by Benson Chiu for RM Auctions. Anybody care to make comments on the shape of the body? Regards.
