No. When the F40 came in it was actually quite funny, all the guys taking photos who were at the bus stop suddenly ran over...I was wondering why and then I saw it XD Unfortunately I'm still editing the pics (took quite a few), maybe you can upload some first... I was thinking about saying hi but seeing as you were with a bunch of others thought otherwise plus wouldn't you find it a bit weird to have a 15 year old randomly say hi to you? BTW, it was quite interesting seeing all your SL's open their roofs only to have it rain moments later; same thing happened to the 360 and 355 that left their roofs open

Hello to All I am an F chatter and Dino 246GT owner from NewZealand but living now just over the border in ShenZhen with the occasional shopping trip over to HK. I have been checking out this section for a while now for pictures and was hoping to find some events to attend.I read with interest your comments about Taxi drivers and i am sure you all know what they are like in this city where it dosnt seem to make any difference which side of the road they drive. My brother was for many years an officer back in the RHKP days and on his way to work one morning had to stop for a traffic hold up and when he went to investigate there was a Taxi buried in the side of a tram and a huge argument going on between the drivers.He asked them both to explain and when he heard the Taxi drivers excuse he arrested him and had his car towed.The reason he gave that the Tram had swerved unexpectedly in front of him ( amazing how those pesky metal tracks move around) I was expecting to see a few nice cars around but so far a couple of 430s and a yellow R8 are all Oh and one very sad silver 360 smashed quite badly in an accident on a trailer outside a local garage. The ShenZhen Ferrari showroom has a Red 458 sitting waiting at the moment and a very long waiting list like all the others i am sure. Otherwise i am sadly now settling in to Withdrawl surrounded by the never ending Plague of Porsche KNs that seem to be every where. If any body knows of anything interesting coming up please let me know until then i will just have to enjoy the Pics and comments on here.Thanks

Hi fellas - been lurking on this forum for a while (have been more active over in the 550/575 section) and thought it may finally be time to be a bit more social. Now that my daughters' Saturday morning swim classes are finally over, I'd like to meet some other HK owners for the Sat morning drives...but where and what time do you guys meet? Funnily enough I have heard of someone (parent/s of a friend's friend) who apparently has 2 430 Spiders, that's why I'm curious BTW jznd, do you mean Sunday morning and not Saturday?

Yup - the car in SCMP and asiaxpat is mine. Trying to figure out which Ferrari to sell is pretty painful, but I decided to sell the 360 and one of the 430s, then pretend my math is bad and keep a 430 and the Maranello. The Maranello is my baby, and I think it will be a long-term keeper. (The wife too I think...) Sunday morning drive...well no wonder I can't find anyone to play with on Saturday mornings! Is there a secret batman signal about time and where to meet? Or is it always the same place? Best, Ben
Hi Jon - we've emailed before about my Conti GT. No...these are the cars that I own now... Prior F-cars were a 1983 400i 5-speed that I doubled the value of by installing a full Tubi system from the headers back (pretty stupid move financially but the car sounded great), a 1991 348ts, and a 1994 348 Spider. And yes, the 430s are different colors!
Eureka! Pretend you've sold the 360 and 430 but actually park them at my house. I'll make sure they're kept in tip top shape by regularly driving them during the week and you can visit them at the weekends. Problem solved! Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Mum's the word... What colour is your 550 if you don't mind me asking? I adore those cars.
It's yellow w/ black interior. To be honest, it wasn't my favorite color for a big car like the 550 but it was the best condition/lowest mileage/fewest owner example I could find. The color's grown on me since and when I did a full repaint recently, I decided to repaint it yellow in the interests of originality. My favorite colors for a 550 are either titanium or tdf blue but I haven't seen an example of a blue 550 in HK yet. There are some beautiful ones over in the 550/575 forum. The two 430s are actually now parked at a friend's house. Fortunately he has far more ferraris and other exotica than I do so I reckon he's not putting too many miles on them in my absence! Reminds me...haven't heard from him recently....
Agreed, there are colours that suit the 550M more, but it's super-rare for that car which makes it extra-special. I saw one on the road in HK once (yours perhaps, I've misplaced the picture somehow) and it did look absolutely stunning. The Maranello is such a wonderful car it would really look great in any colour you decided to paint it and props for repainting it in the original yellow!
