I´m afraid it looks very arcade-ish.

Anyway, the days I had enough spare time to waste it tweaking suspensions in GP2 and Grand Prix Legends are gone.

unfortunately pretty much any console based 'racing' game is far to arcade like. F1 2010 apparently has input from Anthony Davidson, so I hope that if there is a simulation option it'll be good...I don't hold my hopes high though.

For 'real' simulators, games on the PC still over the best, especially if you're a nerd and can write the physics etc to make it 'feel' realer...

Did you read/watch some of the videos? Supposedly they are aiming at simulation video game players and making it more sim than arcade like. Obviously a console game though can't be IMPOSSIBLE to play or else they wouldn't sell much but it looks to be impressive. I'll buy it.

Wow! It looks like a giant step backwards from the PS3 game that came out at the launch. What I saw there almost looks like PS2-quality.

I'm certain the final will look MUCH better than that. I expect more from Codemasters.

I have this on the Wii (the 2009 game) and it's absolutely awesome! :D

The graphics are even poorer on the Wii and I promise you it doesn't detract from the game-play. I'm willing to bet the Playstation controls and more powerful console (allowing rear-view mirror reflections will make the game even better. The 2010 version allows for drying lines after it rains, whereas on the 2009 Wii version the track dries evenly. It believe it also has car development as a feature, which would be great.

I don't know if it has online multiplayer racing or not... but would be good if it did. Can anyone confirm/refute that?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

They left Ferrari out since they lose to an energy drink and they are always so far off the pace.

That's something new! I hope they can make it interactive so that you have a say in developing the dream car (or F it up brilliantly by making the wrong decisions :D). I hope there'll be a career mode as well, I enjoyed that in a few of the playstation 2 games.

the drying lines thing was on EA F1 games as well, I've just got the F1 2010 mod for F1 challenge which is good (apart from the tyres, which go off after 6 laps for the softs, and the graphics aren't as good yet as their 2009 mod).

doesn't look that bad to me?

IIRC the AI (and hopefully physics) are set to easy when this guy played.

Codemasters' Toca Race Driver series was *amazing* for the old xbox at the time.

I'm *really* looking forward to their F1 !!

There's a career mode on the F1 2009 game for the Wii... I have to admit, it's a lot of fun! :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.
