That is sad. Hopefully nobody seriously injured, and the damage is minimal.

    This

Also, I'd be pretty pissed off if a newspaper used photos of my accident without permission, especially with license plates clearly in view.

Wow must be nothing to report for a Florida paper to report an accident in Ottawa, Canada.

Never ceases to amaze me. I guess all these people want to do is talk about all the terrible terrorists here and our bad roads.

I doubt it. There is no "expectation of privacy" when drving on a public road and a licence plate wouldn't likely be considered a confidential "personal identifier." I think the media just like to report on cars involving high-end / exclusive cars. As long as the media avoid defamatory statements, I believe, they are free to print what they think will interest their readership. Even this forum is quick to pick up on and broadcast crashes involving exotics.

I was pleased to learn that the occupants were unharmed. I empathize with the owner for the loss of their Ferrari. Best wishes for an early and equitable resolution.

Just heard about the crash while at the FCA Ottawa club BBQ on Sunday. Ouch. Best thoughts to you both. And here I am thinking 'it's raining, it's dark and I've got to drive my 348 back through that section".

Hope everything is OK with you and your wife; it is sad to see your 348 gone; however it can be replaced. I had the hydroplaning experience on my Pcar C4Cab last month that the car totally lost control and spinning ; fortunately it was stopped an inch before the concrete but I was sweating ... Good luck on everything ..

Marco, glad you & your wife are OK, sorry to hear of the car's extensive damage. I was locked into the rubberneckers going eastbound and was worried with all the emergency vehicules, etc. Hope it all turns for the better...

    Sandy

Parted out, that car is worth its weight in gold.
What are you shopping for now Marco?

EDIT: On the bright side, now you don't have to worry about what to do with the de-laminating rear window!!! :D

Marco - sorry to hear , but at least you and your bride are ok.... look at the positive, you can take the money and get into a TR if you love the look of the 348. You have some options in a downward market. Good luck !
