I have a potential car that I am willing to purchase. Its a 91' Diablo that has had significant maintnence done, but, I am still a bit hesitent. I have all of the records from recent maintnence, and would like to email somebody the records to get some advice.....

I am a current F355 owner and would like to upgrade the collection given the right oppertunity.

My guess tells me it is the "No Reserve" auction on Ebay right now for a 1991. Car has 8 bids and is sitting at $42k with 3 days left. That's a LONG time.

My but tells me the car goes for $67k. I may be wrong but with the bent looking rear bumper (at least it looks that way in the pics) and who knows what kind of wheels, it will probably go for that. A nice deal though still for what looks like a clean car besides.

Do not go by the records!! I bought a 1991 Diablo from Park Place out of Bellevue, WA and it was a train wreck. They gave me records showing $50,000 of service being done. I asked the salesman about getting an independent inspection and he said "what else could it possibly need, everything's been done!" Well I got the car and it would barely move. Clutch was toast, transmission needed to be rebuilt, was leaking fluids, etc. After about $30,000 in repairs I had my local Lambo dealer do I sold it. That was about two years ago. I believe the car is on its third owner since. I do know the current owner hasn't been able to use the car in months as it yet again has the engine out for some major service.

Learn from my stupid mistake and have it inspected, don't trust the paperwork!

Is that the same delership as Lamborghini Bellevue? They bought a 2010 Murcielago SV at an auction for $380k a few months ago then claimed to have a buyer at $430k on eBay the very next week? They have re-listed in 6 times since and put up a bin of full msrp for a used car, they quit doing the auction so they don't have to shill bid the price up.

Maybe there shady sells tactics are a sign they are going under?

Park Place and Lamborghini of Bellevue are not the same place..
    Two different locations.
They are located very close to each other though.
    Google

Go to the Northwest section and do a search on Park Place.

ALWAYS..I dont car WHO is selling it..another set of independent EYES is always worth it..something can always be missed and spotted by someone else..

I rather know it now..then find it later after the car has shipped out to you.

ALWAYS ALWAYS get a PPI..and if the Dealer wont let you, or shys away..

    RUN "Forest" RUN!!

    Caveat Emptor
    (Buyer Beware)

"Under the doctrine of caveat emptor, the buyer can not recover from the seller for defects on the property that rendered the property unfit for ordinary purposes. The only exception was if the seller actively concealed latent defects or otherwise made material misrepresentations amounting to fraud.

Before statutory law, the buyer had no warranty of the quality of goods. In many jurisdictions now, the law requires that goods must be of "merchantable quality". However, this implied warranty can be difficult to enforce and may not apply to all products. Hence, buyers are still advised to be cautious."

I just got back from a drive in my Diablo , I really like the car ,it handles great , and really rides smooth, it soaks up the bumps , it turns like no other car I had, and I think my tires were hazing when i punched it , and they are wide , If the car is a good car you are looking at , you will be happy . They are great cars .

    That can't be true.

    Your car is still there..

Hasn't melted, hasn't dissipated into thin air...

    :p

Hate to see another go to the darkside, but, good luck :)
