Hey guys, have a question here. May I know how come the clutches in dual clutch gearboxes (PDK, DSG etc) will not wear out despite repeated launches as opposed to the single clutch gear systems as seen on Ferraris, Lambos and Maseratis?

I think if the original was metal... it would save weight... but if it was plastic...it would not save that much weight.
However, the decorative element would mean factory is able to charge more for these parts.
