now you see, that story just makes sense...it's logical. Tiffo could learn something from that instead of just believing what a journo says.
you take one sentence out people's posts, out of context, and then claim they're proving your point? Hopefully you're joking.
He simply lost the car under a quick direction change. Like Whitmarsh said, I rookie mistake one could expect in some junior formulae. Certainly not in the top ranks of F1. There is a patern emerging. Someone once said about Alex Zanardi's F1 efforts that his judgement at the limit was questionable. Somehow, seeing Vettel driver, I get remembered of that quote. It is not only Vettel crashing into people (remember also Australia 2009) it is also what happened at Hungary this year or being overly agressive at Silverstone. He seems to be his own biggest enemy.
As I understand it, these ex-drivers don't get "a vote", they are consultants with no actual power to give a penalty.
Maybe not in terms of crashing into people, but Hamilton managed to grab defeat from the jaws of victory in 2007 through a series of rookie mistakes...
a number of which might have involved other cars had they been near. Raw talent has to be tempered with experience and that, of course, takes time.
Yes, very true but Vettel is not a rookie and as a serious contender for the WDC and the anointed one at RBR, he should not be making these silly mistakes. I am going to go on record right now and say that for this year at least he does not have what it takes to be WDC.
What it often takes is luck and no one knows how that will fall. I suspect that you're right though. IMO it'll come down to Hamilton and Webber with Button and Vettle a bit behind. BTW Lewis had a bit of rookyish brain fade today and it almost cost him the race.
with no testing allowed, exactly when is a young driver expected to get experience in these cars in the wet? or the dry for that matter. I'd wager MS got more seat time in his first year at ferrari than SV will get in 5 years. And with drastic rule changes resulting in essentially new cars every year,... what does anyone expect? Bernie is the one who needs a Black Flag.
I agree that the testing ban is dumb. They should at least allow some in season testing, once or twice a year with all of the teams together at the same track for a few days would be fair.
No, not making your point. I know the seat was offered to him, never denied it. But you still didn't answer my question. Why would he take the seat? Alex
