Been doing some random spotting, I am always on the lookout. Here are a few of the pics I have taken over the year....

- That Blue Murciélago that "everyone" sees. This was only the second time I saw it. It was on Roswell Rd, at the Ten Degrees South. It was nice enough to hang out and let me take pictures of her.

I don't know the full details on this, but it was at Butler Tire on Roswell last year. It appears to be a 911 Techart Turbo and has BULL RUN stickers on it. Also has Cali plates.

Could be Claus. He is the owner of CEC (Claus Ettensburger Corp) and Techart.

 

I don't know about who owns it but the Bull Run stopped in Buckhead a little over a year ago. There were quite a few cars including a couple of 430's, an SLR Roadster, R8 and this Techart Porsche. He probably had to make a pit stop for a messed up tire or something before they left the next morning. Claus owns CEC, he does not own TechArt, he is just the US Distributor. As for the driver of the BullRun car, it was just a driver, no one special. CEC was a sponsor of the rally and many of the cars had CEC offered products, if you go back and look at the 430, it has Novitec Wheels on it

Remember: Petit Le Mans is on Saturday, Caffeine & Octane is on Sunday! I still plan to do them both.....

 

Do remember that because of rule changes, there are going to be a lot more European teams running this year and the Porsche GT3 R Hybrid will be racing (first time in North America)!

I am late in telling this story but on Friday night last week I saw a blue 430 Scuderia being transported on I-85 N. The car looked great but it was rolling back and forth whenever the driver applied the brakes or tried to speed up!!! It didn't look like the parking brake was on or that the guy even tried to tighten the straps!!

 

I saw my first CTS coupe on a single car tow truck on 285 yesterday...hopefully we will start seeing them around town. It's was red, a different color than the one being offered at Classic Cadillac in Sandy Springs, so maybe it was on its way home.

 

Gator...you are so RIGHT. I might be able to pull up my stakes and get there in the morning if I come straight down Sunday am. Thanks for reminding me. I always enjoy talking to you at CO. I am still jealous of your Canadian GP pics...but Austin is calling!

 

wow. dead silence on here for like 2 weeks now. I guess we are all getting tired of seeing the same cars over and over again.

 

I was rewarded tonight on spotting a super rare Jaguar XJ220 in Buckhead (Bistro Nikko restaurant). I have never seen one on the street ever and I have seen just about everything. This spot is just as rare as the Maserati MC12 I found several years ago. I have been absent from spotting due to school and other obligations so this is a super cool spot!! I LOVE ATLANTA!

WOW.........I think the Jag pretty much blows away anything else on here.........

 

Kaamacat, I was absolutely stunned to see this car on the road instead of locked away. Possibly only 28 cars in the US. This same car with British tags P770 NRW was filmed by the BBC series Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson behind the wheel. Here is a link to the video....

well, that certainly is a surprise for Atlanta!

 

Saturday was dry then wet and overall not a great day. So I was surprised to spot so many nice cars. This is a testament on how Georgia owners enjoy driving their cars.

Surprisingly, the XJ220s aren't that expensive considering how rare they are. I read it's because they have six cylinder engines instead of the originally anticipated twelve.

Dupont Registry has three for sale and they're all in the $200K range!

Gorgeous Lambo. But dig that crazy purple stretched Hummer limo in the background!

 

I used to work in that area, and the owner of this Countach drives it on a very regular basis. Keep your eyes on that shopping center for a red 512TR he also owns and drives regularly. There's a UPS store/Post Office in the back corner he gets/got his mail every day. I'll try to find pics.

 

Just had a short but spirited drive against a beautiful Argento 599 GTB on Northside Drive, coming up from Powers Ferry Landing. If you're on here, thanks for making my night!

 

Here are some shots from Thursday and Friday. The orange Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera has California tags. The red Murcielago has red dealer tags and both are new to this thread. The Lamborghini LP640 is also a new sighting to the area, she was purchased from a Lamborghini store out of New Jersey.

While spotting today I came across a vehicle that was ''Ghost Buster'' movie themed - equipped and ready for action. The Dragon Con Sci-Fi convention is in town and the streets are packed with hundreds of people in costumes. Here are a few shots of the car....
