Nice site and car.......don't like the carbon front hood though.......it needs to be painted body color. I'd go with white/silver wheels......and no AC.......no stereo......no cupholders.
hrmmm... 5 seconds = getting in a settling in 10 seconds = looking around and touching things 5 seconds = nervously fumbling around with the keys and finally getting it into the ignition 2.5 seconds = to start it and put it in gear 2.5 seconds to 60or so MPH when i run directly into a light post or a boxster or something sounds about right
Agreed. I'd take mine in a bit more subtle garb. The car speaks for itself when it matters, and does not need to advertise it so garishly. Not to sound elitist about it, but I got over carbon fiber hoods when I switched from Japanese to European cars. IMO, It works on 'street racer' type cars, but not so well on this... this goes for the intakes on the flanks as well. AC & cupholder delete, for sure, but I can't be without music. Even if it's just a deck and two speakers. And I'd like think that at 620hp all-in, I could spare (and not notice) the 3hp it might take to run it. Nice to see the GT3RS get an RS stablemate though. -Tad
No kidding eh ? That crap belongs on Subaru's and Honda's. It's not like a layer of primer and paint is going to slow you down.
agreed, thats why i would pick black. BTW i wonder what the #'s will look like vs the upcoming Mclaren.
the mclaren shld be an outstanding track focussed car but will probably not be able to match the insane acceleration of the porsche turbo S ...
after 60-80mph... the turbo S will loose. The turbo S like the veyron holeshots because of all wheel drive... after that the AWD causes too much drag... take a look at a GTRs acceleration times... that thing falls on its face the faster it goes... and keep in mind the higher the speed the less weight makes a difference... AWD is great for kids who read motor trend and car and driver...
are you talking about the Turbo S or the RS? I would think the RS would hold its own against the MC in a straightline.
The turbo S (I mentioned the awd). As far as the gt2RS... I think it could be close... however I think the mc with the quicker transmission coupled to a turbo charged engine (yes both are turbo charged but anyone who has raced a turbocharged car will understand where I am coming from... or I guess look at the PDK numbers vs the 6 speed numbers... that will help) Also, I think think think think think think the MC is slipperier. But it will be close and both are rocket ships regardless. I know which one I would rather have in the garage...
