Anyone have a handle on what is the current market values are for SCUDS? I have a 2009 with 1600 miles and I am getting numbers between 200 and 215.

Unfortunately that seems about right. I have a 2008 Scuderia that I should have sold 6 months ago.

I would say they will be easier to acquire but never a GOOD value.....No Ferrari is a good value.

Your range is correct but better hurry. The 08s are wholesaling below $190.

I see lots of 08's asking 220/225K & 09's 235/245K. What they are selling for I have no clue. With your miles you should get 220K on an 09 or possibly a little better (225K) depending on options. Anything at or below 215K is a give away on an 09 with 1600K.

Better hurry is right. There are already alot for sale and more to come as more people trade for the 458. Retail low mile 08 for sale now around $200-$219k

Unfortunately, you're dreaming about this numbers right now unless you find a buyer. If selling back to your dealer, wholesale or just above is what you get. My 09 scud was a $309k sticker and it just sold back to the dealer below $225k.

    respectfully disagree 100%.

355s are good vaule in the 50s....CS are good value in the 140s...f40s are good value in the 400s...not saying prices wont get cheaper...but at these prices ur getting some insane product....i will def own a scud when it gets close to the 160s....

(apologies to the OP for diverting the subject)

That is a depreciation of $84K in one year, excluding tax, title, and license. It would appear the 458 Italia is a game changer in more than just the performance. Anyone who's waiting to trade their car in after the summer driving season will likely take a bigger bath.

The original owner paid $308K for the 09 scud I bought from him less than six months ago. He took a serious hit when I bought it. Even so he obviously did better than if he had kept it for that extra six months. That part of the loss willl be mine when I trade it in next month and I'll be trying really hard to hold the line at $225K. I'm trading it back to my dealer for a new set of wheels. I'm just hoping it gives me a little more leverage.

buying new ferraris that after the first model year is usually a painful game.

did scuds trade at any premium in 08?

When they came out guys paid $75k over for the first ones. 599's and 430 spiders in 06-07 were getting $50-$150k over MSRP

you are looking at a 95k depreciation on 1600 miles. that means it cost about 56dollars for every mile you drove.

That sounds dead on for a trade in right now... The 08's are trading for between 185k - 195k...
Good luck with the deal and I hope the dealer will take care of ya... You'll love the 458 Italia!

Ouch. I would consider keeping the Scud, the 458 is a leap forward but not worth that kind of beating.

I know how we set our minds on something but is it really worth trading at that point?

Been thinking of trading my 612 in for a Scud, not a fan of the 458.

Regardless at these prices I am interested

I love Scud's and the only one I am semi interested in is the Novitec at Gold Coast.

Been looking for Scud with a 16M stripe and wheels, maybe I should look at 16M's.

Doug, 16M's are still pretty pricey. Most are still asking close to 320K. The only one I've seen break behind $300K is a red one at Continental. Last time I looked they had 2 for sale. But the red one was trading below that magic number by about $5K.

I take that back. Just checked their listings. Two red ones. One is $315K and the second is $299,995K.

I think the 16M's / 430 spiders may hold a little better if the 458 comes out wearing a hard top. I have been looking at 16M's and have only seen one sold in the four months at 295 and assume the dealer took 7% commission so 280's net.

I recently sold my '09 scud (last 20 days) for over 260. The one thing I learned through the whole process is that most on fchat are quite off on prices. I am sure many cars sell for low prices, however, if you price it in the 250's you will get a bite north of 235 is my guess, having seen the number of inquiries I got oj my car recently. I would suggest not posting it on fchat as i noticed the lowest of the low offers for my car came from the ad on here. Just my .02, but wait for the right buyer, they are out there and will buy if they like the car.

i went thru the same train of thought, only i was going to trade 458 for a 16m. after speaking to peeps the moral of the story is if ur buying a 16m ur buying performance so just go for the scud...i looked at the scud market and concluded that over the next 12 to 24 months the scuds have more downside than the 458. I think scud will be amazing value under tthe 175 mark, so prob a year or two away.

also, if i had to pick one ferrari to own id keep my 612, i drive it the most and its enjoyable in every enviornment. i wldnt be able to drive a scud every day...keep the 612 and get a CS! i love my CS and its the only one i can compare to my f40 in terms of pure ferrari.

    my 2 cents!
