Nice pictures... an automatic 400 is also a big, comfortable, stable, and powerful GT car. But you know that. Just sayin'.

No problemo, Dave. I thought you might want to start a 5-speed-only forum!

Beautiful car, geez it's been so hot... Did you have similar oil consumption on the trip? ;)

I noticed that right away. Is it new? IIRC, you haven't really shown any front end view photos so maybe you could have had it for a while.

CT requires a front plate although I haven't had the time to put mine on in the past 12 years. ;)

Dave, nice of you to let the 'ol girl strech her legs. Must have been a blast. Like the front plate, too.

    Like yeah (lol).

Not bad?? I'd say 'lookin' good'!!
Looks like the same plate as your registered tag except...I'm guessing that V12 4RE is your MO.

I had the front plate custom made. www.licenseplates.tv It is a replica of an Italian plate. "MO" would be the correct letter code for Modena where she was made. V12 4RE is indeed my real Texas plate. Texas does require a front plate so I keep it under the front seat. My excuse if I ever get stopped will be there wasn't a US plate holder made for my car so I couldn't put it on. I doubt that excuse will work, but it'll be a good try. :D

I don't know about Texas, but up here in CT I have been seeing an increased use of License Plate Readers on police cars that allow them to constantly and nearly instantly check the registration and insurance status of every moving and parked car that they pass.

My guess is that they are about to get a little more picky about missing front plates. I hope not but you never know.

Now you are just bragging! Are you talking about the lady in the passenger seat or the car?! Either way they are both pups..at 46 I can appreciate both. Mine turned 36 this year....the car that is.......

Mitch, I do have dual a/c and it works quite well. I'm still running R12 which helps. It kept us cool in the Texas heat the entire trip.
I did pick up a set of Series 1 wheels and took off the TRX's so I could get modern technology rubber on her. I have the TRX's tucked away in the barn.

Dave, was there much of a difference with the new rims and tires?

Aidan is the one who turned me on to Z rated P4000's (thanks Aidan). They get good reviews. Frankly I think my car rides better and handles much better than when it had TRX's on it.

I have been happy with my P4000s so far, but they are the only tire I have had on my car.
