Hi Everyone, Because we're loading up the world speed record setting Ultimate Aero for the trip to Monterey, we're still on for this morning even though we may get some rain. The current weather radar shows the rain heading to the north of us so we're going to go for it. We'll be there same time as usual.
I wish they would get rid of the headlights on the SSC. They do not look like they belong on that car. Otherwise it's a great looking car
This is the first or second car ever built , some 5 or 5 years ago. The latest cars use updated headlight assemblies, but better than that, the car has been completely redesigned.
Hi Everyone! We have the Gumpert Apollo joining is this Saturday as it continues on its US tour. We will then drive down to the Black Diamond Bakery for lunch. We will go a slightly different route to Black Diamond to add a drive. Unfortunately, I don't think my SV will be there as it will be in for service. If you're joining us, be sure to bring your radios. This will be a rain or shine event so drive the daily if it's raining.
I saw Lamborghini Bellevue had a nice White 2009 Maserati Quattroporte on their lot. I think I saw your name all over that!!!! ;-) Mike
Can't wait to see the Gumpert, since it was first released I've always thought it was the most beautiful ugly car ever lol
The Gumpert Apollo was very cool. Thanks Tom and Vic!! Here's a video of the Apollo and a "cameo" appearance by Roy Cats. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkCiq9FynGQ
Gary, Nice video of the Countach too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMKHSOf3BjA&feature=channel Mike
Here's a few photos from the Gumpert Racing / Forza event at Microsoft the day before - http://www.apexrally.com/2010/08/gumpert-racing-stops-by-large-software.html

Hi Everyone! Exotics at Redmond Town Center is on for August 28. We had to keep an eye on the weather but it's looking like it will be a decent morning. If it's like last year, counting upcoming rained out Saturdays, we only have about four E@RTCs left for the season. Each week something new shows up as word spreads and more unusual cars show up. We're also getting a lot more spectators! Tip for those arriving- Roll down your window! This way the thugs can help you get parked in the best possible location.
Hi Everyone, Sorry for the delay posting this update. We've never had so many drastically conflicting weather forecasts to sort out. Normally 30% is the point where we call it off, but there is a big reason we're going to be rain or shine this time. Anthony's shooting a video for the song "Cars" and hopes to get some shots at RTC. So this is a chance to get your car in one of his videos! His production company will be staying right there at the hotel, ready to get some shots first thing in the morning. Please let others know as not everyone reads these posts so cut and paste this and send it to other regular attendees. Because of the uncertainty of weather, and the uncertainty of turnout due to weather, and because of the video, we're going to park cars in the first lot, fill that lot as much as possible, sorting shots for the video crew, then move onto the second lot. We may even ask you to move your cars around for the video so expect things to be a little different tomorrow as we try and make everyone happy. Some cars are leaving at 10:00 for another series of rolling shots. That event is a closed set because of how it's going to be shot, and there won't be room for spectators, so there is no breakfast or other E@RTC organized event after RTC. See you all Saturday!
Despite the rain it was a very good turn out. Had an SLK part to sell and SLK club just happened to be there. Perfect Day.
Hopefully this gives some concept of speed. He was doing about 140mph +/- here. Image Unavailable, Please Login
