Air... for a mid-rear mounted engine... going in the front boot (trunk) lid and venting out at the windscreen?

I'd buy that it is the exit air for the radiator and that the Murcielago replacement has zero trunk space, before I'd believe that air coming out of that hole goes anywhere near the intake for the engine.

Yep.... That's what I have been heard and readed, also the car should be lighter than current Murcíelago is.
Well, we will see what kind of supercar they have been done.
I don't remember which magazine I read these but some Finish or English it was.

First...I will stick with my information that this will NOT be the entire working car shown...but more pieces of it and what they are doing with their new Carbon Fiber tech to come out of their shop and the University of Washington work lab.

Next, guys/gals...recall this is approx 698-700HP ..not realy that big a deal from the 670HP LP670-4SV..a mere 28HP..can be done with exhasut..and hoping to get it to 0-60 in under 3 seconds...the GOOD BROKE in LP670-4SV ALREADY does that in 2.8 seconds.

I am sure this will be something that some love and some hate..

IMO, I think there will be many a disappointed person that did not grab a LAST of the best LP670-4SV when they had the chance..just like the last of the best

    Countach 1989 Anniv car
    2001 Diablo 6.0SE

    Only time will tell..

I think Apex is on the right track here. They're not going to give it to you that easy. I'm guessing this rendering bit could be a top down view, becoming more common in auto marketing.

It's a picture of the hood just below the windshield looking from the left side of the car. It's tilted down to the right a decent amount. The "out" takes are like the reventon but much larger. The reventon's wiper pin is close to even with the hood line off of the inside of the "out" take while this one is at least a 1/3 to 1/2 way to the middle of the "out" take.

Small incremental power hikes are the name of the game in the product life of the vehicle. But considering that there is a great reduction in chassis weight, under 3 second times are no problem at all. In fact, it would be very spectacular. The key though would be how the car looks... If it was a reventon styled vehicle, I think there should be a good many people that would like this new iteration. As to hindsight on purchases of the last of the series, the se, and the murcie sv might have better luck than the 89 Ann. ct.

I'm hearing that this isn't the Murcielago successor. This is a concept car that will be shown at the Paris auto show at the end of the month, with the Murci successor debuting at Geneva next spring. Source has been reliable with accurate knowledge of previous Lamborghini models/events...

From what i've read, yes, it's probably a concept car. Still can't wait though, really liked the Estoque.

    New teaser:

    Lamborghini’s Manifesto for future supersportscars

“Lamborghini stands for extreme and uncompromising supersportscars of the
    best Italian tradition.

Tradition as a value however, lives at Lamborghini alongside innovation.
We are redefining the future of our supersportscars around the two main reasons
    to buy: design and performance.

Design has been and always will be reason number one, and we will make sure a
Lamborghini will always be recognizable through its significant stylistic features.
Regarding performance, until few years ago priorities were, in this order: top
    speed, acceleration and handling.

In recent years this has been changing. Together with design, handling and
acceleration are becoming more important. Speed is not as important anymore,
because all supersportscars are exceeding 300km/h (186 mph) and this is a speed
that you cannot reach even on a racetrack, let alone normal roads. We think it is
time to make a shift and talk more about handling and acceleration.
The key factor in terms of better handling and acceleration, meaning more
immediate pleasure in driving, is the power-to-weight ratio. This is not so much
about top speed and so the future will not be so focused on increasing the power,
even because CO2 emissions do play a role for supersportscars too. That means
the key is in reducing the weight.

A crucial part of this is to understand how to reduce the weight. From the middle
of the Eighties, the average weight of our cars has increased by 500 kg because of
active and passive safety, comfort and emissions reduction issues, and this is
something that we have to change. Since we cannot reduce safety or comfort in
our cars, we have to reduce the weight by using new materials.
The magic word for this is “carbon fiber”. We started working with carbon fiber in
Sant’Agata Bolognese over thirty years ago and today, with our two laboratories
in Sant’Agata Bolognese and in Seattle, We are mastering a broad range of
technologies which put us in a leadership position for low-volume production.
Every new Lamborghini will make the best use of carbon fiber to reduce weight.”

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA
    Sant’Agata Bolognese, 14th September 2010

That was my guess. Just seems odd on a modern car though.

Indeed. These teaser images are not the Murci successor, something the automotive media is not making very clear.

Do you have any insight in regards to what the next Murcie type car will look like?
