http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVGOxvJ5BV0 The UI looks awesome and really well done. So does the rain, actually. Love the scattered puddles and the rain effect in the middle of the pack does look really intense!
So do they send you the disc & box by mail or is all you get is the download file? or Does anyone know where I can buy in USA so its delivered on release day like the UK sellers?
Nice tho I'm going to get it on xbox360 1st I will look at a PC version at a later date if the modding community can somehow get around the restrictions Similar UI to DIRT2(well it is using the same engine haha) but it's very slick I like it. Usually they send you a box if you want digital download look at the steam option.
I pre ordered the xbox version a few weeks ago, what's the best wheel for this console? Btw I went with the 360 version because they seem to know how to do multiplayer better than the ps3.
Depends on your budget, but you can't go wrong with the MS wheel. These are the list of wheels that are supported by the game. • Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller • Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel • Logitech Drive FX Wheel • Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S Oh yeah and if anyone has not seen it yet then here is a recent interview with 2 of the team and Anthony Davidson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y63R1QGmcHo&feature=youtu.be
PS3 has the better Forcefeedback, which is absolutely key for these kinds of games. But now that you're settled on the XBox get the Porsche wheel. It is expensive, but it gives you the most FFB.
Ya I dont like the MS force feedback, However, I dont really care for FF at all so I dont use it. Im much faster without it.
I couldn't drive without FFB. I tried it and it felt like steering a boat. I had no idea what the car was doing and where its limits of adhesion are
Sigh, I, like you, rely on ffb. I guess I've got a decision to make, I could go with the xbox version and spend 350 on a porsche wheels/pedals, or I could get the ps3 version and get the logitech wheel and pedals for 250 (I think). I really didn't like the multiplayer on formula 1 CE, so I will probably stick with the 360 version.
you get used to no FF real quick and it becomes no problem, all of the FF ive played with (including on the Fanatech wheel) feels to arcadey and fake. Thats why I opt for none. Just personal preference tho. IMO the MS wheel is a great price for a wheel that works very well for all the top games right now.
When I drove Grand Prix Legends for years & hundreds of thousands of laps I found the FORCE FEEDBACK did little to help with lap times. Any resistence in turning the wheel will slow you down in opposite lock situations which seemed to happen to me all the time. ;-)
I hear you. But beating the game isn't all to me. Experiencing a good simulation means more to me and good FFB gives you that
If you really love car games then the Porsche wheel is the one to get. While the model mentioned by Alex is for the Xbox it will work with the PC and PS3 as well (might need to buy an adapter). Here are pics of my mates porsche wheel for the xbox. That reminds me I better go pre-order the game Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your friends gear shift is on the wrong side, it should be on the right side ;-) I'm a Forza fan, I've always disliked GT
It really is, In my opinion they're different styles. GT always felt stiff to me, where forza was much easier for me to just pick up.
Just highlighted a few points I liked in an old interview. A new interview with Codemasters from the f1:2010 game. Bold is mine.
