You really can't compare between the Canadian market that has less than 10 percent of the USA Ferrari sales volume realistically. There are many more Ferrari models down there at a lower price to start with than what they sell for in Canada. The same 458 sells for 50k+ more in Canada and that is before the harmonized tax bite is added to the total. There are 10 cars there for every 1 in Canada...

Oh come on guys, I was just giving Scott a hard time. You guys need to lighten up. Its just a damn car. No need to get offended cause the cars are depreciating.......they all will. I just put 300 miles on my Scud this past weekend and fell in love with it all over again. Its a phenomenal Ferrari.

I sometimes have trouble reading internet sarcasm, so this little exchange was partially my fault. Though we said it two different ways, I now know that I agree with Kuzi as well.

09 scud - Without turning this into a Canadian market thread, you're way off on actual values up here. Of course, sellers can ask anything they want. But with warranties ticking and absolutely no extra impediments to the importation of a US cars (cost or otherwise), there is no reason for superfluously inflated prices. These guys get it -

    08 Scud, 2800km at $229CA ask

    09 16M, 1800km at $329CA ask

Whether the "experts" here agree or not they are dropping at wholesale and on trade. The one that sold for $177 had frame damage (just learned last week) so it should be taken out of the equation. The one for $219 in the Ohio area has a note on it for $214 so anything less will be tough to swallow for the seller I am sure.....but $285 to 295 for a Scud????? Come on that is 16m territory, faster better looking car IMHO......and for Scuds being $100m in 4-5 that I would bet on the over on, and give you odds. Look at the CS, nice ones are $140-170 and are 6 years old correct?

Scott had a GREAT CS, Kuzi was busting his balls, I for one want to take a ride in that Scud when he finds the one he wants, and I tend to agree that he will snag for $200m come the first of the year if not sooner.

    Good luck Scott.

I was there and saw this car sale, it was a "story" car. Announced prior theft recovery, damaged floor pan, and a missing reverse button. The car was in decent shape, but far from perfect. Scratched up, carbon fiber interior was rough.

I totally disagree with kuzi and have now sided with 09scud. I'm goon to buy back my 09 scud from the dealer for $230k and then sell it to 09scus for $260k and then he can make a quick $30k by selling it for $290k. 09scud, you in?

Kuzi, stop driving those cars. You're making those 1000 mile per year guys jealous!! :)

Stop posting this nonsense. You don't have a clue relative to value and I doubt you have a scud. You communicate like a 15 year old.

You are a schmuck, PERIOD. My pals that sell high line cars are telling me $175 will by an 08 scud this winter. Do you know why I believe him? He sells 5000 cars a year and has been doing this since he was 18. He told me to wait 6 months to get a 360 spider for under $100k, I did, and you know what, I paid under $100k for a 2003 exactly when he told me to, 6-8 months earlier the same car was $120-140. Economy is getting worse before it gets better, and when you(I) can buy a 2011 458 now for $275, why would I buy your Scud that you don't have?

The guy who has this car, has a Bentley, Escalade, Scud and Gallardo, he does not need to take the hit. It is what the market is bearing now.

I don't buy that your Buddy has been selling 5000 Exotics a year since he was 18. Ferrari only sold 6000 cars last year. Palm Springs Ford only sells close to 5000 FORD's a year and it's one of the largest dealers in the world. Most car dealerships are happy pushing 100-150 units a month. Your buddy is triple that. He's got a huge client base I guess

Your Buddy would be the master of all car salesman in the world. If he only made 2k commish on each car he's banking 10 mil a year. That's 8 exotics per state a month he's selling.

I will say I agree with you that it would be hard to buy a scud he doesn't own.
