I did not write 5000 exotics a year, I wrote 5000 cars a year, he sells about 20 exotics a month and all these sales are dealer to dealer. The point was he knows the market better than our friend to the north, and has shown me auction numbers for the past few months.....all late model exotics are dropping like rocks, and now that fall is upon us there is no way that they are somehow going to hold or increase for no reason.

ah from car salesman superhero to works for an auction house. got it.

scud09 why don't you prove him wrong and set up your garage in the Owners section. It's easy to set up if you own this 300k scud

    h2oskier says,
"If he only made 2k commish on each car he's banking 10 mil a year. "

Getting OT, I apologize, but I would love to find out where a Ferrari salesman or any car salesman, for the matter, makes "at least 2k commish on each car". In the BEST of times, 2k on a sale is a rarity, much less in this economy....not even close!

09 scud, I thought I'd share with you a recent list of inventory at my local dealership Ferrari of San Francisco. As you can see, 2008 thru 2009 Scuds are listed at low to mid $200K retail. These are retail prices and with fall and winter approaching, these prices will likely soften even more. To compound the price drop, more 458's will be arriving. So you have 2 forces working against you, supply and demand. Now there's been some question among other Fchat members alledging you don't own an '09 scud. To prove the skeptics wrong, could you post a picture of your car with a recent Canadian newspaper?

The third one down was reduced about 10k this week. It's in the 230's now. Check cars.com. That 16M is really getting attractively reduced! Didn't see that one.

Lacking basic spelling or grammatical ability, yet successful enough to own a $200k+ car.... hmm, interesting...

09 scud will be disappointed to see this. Perhaps lfsc could hold onto the car till next year and get a higher price.

Oh man....we hit <$200k pricing. Didnt think we'd see it till Nov-Dec.
I absolutely love the 458, but at the prices that are coming for the Scud, I might have to jump in.

maybe he plays in the NFL, NBA, or MLB.
maybe he has a rich father.
maybe he's even of the Jersey Shore kids.

I know a guy who makes worse spelling mistakes than 09 scud but quite a successful businessman. However, most successful people don't make simple spelling errors.

but, yes, it is somewhat "interesting"...

    The long way home
In 09 scud's defense (I can't believe I said that!), I think he may be French-Canadian, and therefore English is not his first language.

That being said, I already linked to a Canadian-spec Scud with 2,800 km (1,700 miles) for $229CA here.

Denial is an ugly beast, but reality eventually sets in :)

I was thinking 09Scud was stating Canadian currency, but that would just barely help his case.

I started looking at scuds in jan 10. The prices then are relatively the same as now.

This one is in your neck of the woods> How much does Ferrari of Alberta want for the yellow Scud that was marked sold and then re-appeared on their web site as available again?
The yellow Scuderia you linked to was 30k more before they put 700km on the car this summer...the drivers seat is worn already.

like i say earlyer I blame the Scud owner for trading there scud for a 458 and getting hit for 75k , I can,t see people doing that for 458 full production car there going to be so many of them and putting down the value of the scud and that there going to be thousand of 458 out there in the next 6 months from now

Another non ferrari owner dreamer to bad you didnt get hit ether for 75k ??

Sorry I,am a pure Italian have a problem with that

it ok just let the dust settle anyone trading a scud in for 458 TODAY it going to get hit big time that all I got to say, so why not keep them, I,am pure Italian is there a problem with that, !

just to bad you didn,t paid 300k for a scud and losing 75k, but you your just a ferrari wanabe and a dreamer who care what you say???????

but I wish people would buy them at that price I would it just make my car look better when there non around for sell anymore.

there only going to be so many for sell until there no more and then what

5000 cars a year he sells, Wow your kidding me now ha ha

and then you bought a 458 so what, you have to out of your mind to trade in your scud Now but there people that do what can I say, dealer laughing

I invested in pet.com back in the 90's - who doesn't need pet food right? I wished that people would just keep paying $200/share so that my portfolio looks better also.

cars are liabilities not assets, they produce no income in most cases.

and people here are being realistic. i am watching now myself -- at 190-200 a scud becomes a driver
