No, I just go there to take pics...I wish I was, I left approx 10-15 mins after you guys and they were still stopped at the bus stop.

 

Checked automall earlier just because I was bored and found the pale green LP640 for sale. Checked the wheels and they're the same as the one that turns up to SMD's occasionally - guess I won't be seeing it anymore :/

 

Aaaages ago Sir Paul I think it was said something about the ' DM' on DM 18's Scud's license plate asking if it was anything to do with the phrase Carpe Diem. Just now I just stumbled across this photo of Flickr. A massive coincidence???

Yes it was me who spotted it and DM18 confirmed it was not him.
Now same number, different car. Must check down in the Garage when I get back. Must be about 4 Calis down there.

 

Aah, I see now. Yes, Calis everywhere in HK now. Still not sold personally...

 

I actually like them now, especially in white.

Call me shallow, but I rather have the SLS with that kind of money; at least I get some gullwing doors

which one is uglier would make a debateable topic me thinks..

 

I would have said the SLS is worse until I took a direct front pic of the Cali, where the lights and the grille give it a sort of look. Disagree with Jeremy Clarkson about the nose of the 430 looking like a 'special needs' Ferrari, I'd say that the Cali does that better... SLS roof and rear is somewhat lacking while the front is decent.

 

I've given the Cali a bit of a Photoshop face-lift, what do you think...

 

Ouch, it might not be beautiful in your eyes, but I'm not so sure if I would put it in the ugly category.

 

Luckily Mrs. DM18 is much smarter than me and put the dog on a towel so it was no problem except for an interesting smell after Smithfield Road!!!

Agree on the SLS. That engine is epic. Gullwing doors limit parking options in HK

 

Good news. 458 kits arrived HK today and my car will be ready for pick up tomorrow. Can't wait. Yeahh IMSS - faster than I was expecting

This weather really sucks. New 458, weekend in HK, day trip to NYC next week... I am tired of looking at the car - I want to drive it on dry roads!!! Went to Ching Ching last night for late night dessert and suffered in the rain getting home.

 

Weather doesn't seem so bad today, maybe time to take it out for a bit?

Went to TMT this morning, hardly any cars but there was a nice blue R8.

 

day trip to nyc just sounds awful... hopefully weather improves when you get back!

 

I hope HK Oberv has it all wrong as forecast is for good days only when I am away!!! Day trip to NYC is no fun. 32 hours on plane for 16 hours in NYC

Whats it worth for a bit of "smash and grab"??

Just had a great three days at Monza F1 GP and just spent today touring the Ferrari Factory.

Had lunch at the Cavallino Restaurant in the Maranello plant at a table next to Alonso himself and his entourage who were celebrating his win. No sign of Felipe. Strange that?!!!

Anyway, could not have timed things better!

Ducati factory tomorrow and then flying back Wednesday.

Sir Paul - sounds like your trip was a lot more fun than DM18's day trip to NYC!

Jon - have not forgotten about the 430 engine...still chasing it down. It's out there somewhere...probably has some race miles on it, but will be a very strong engine nonetheless.

 

Excellent! When you mentioned you were visiting Lake Como I thought you must be going to the GP too. Hope you've taken lots of photos to share with us?!
