Hi, After much frustration with the sticky bits in my F355 and F360 I finally found a solution. OVEN CLEANER ! But not just any oven cleaner, the CHEAPEST oven cleaner. Spray onto a sponge or cloth, wipe the sticky part, the gunk comes off revealing the polished plastic beneath. NOTE: In some instances the markings on the dials may wipe off as well. But I'd rather not have a L & R on my indicator mirror adjustment switch than a sticky indicator mirror adjustment switch !
Bet they don't look like this when your done... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
OP... Robbie has a good point... let's see some photos of your finished product... Robbie, looking at a 360 and will likely be sending you something within a few weeks... NOTE: duplicate thread will be merged... Mike
Have it word of mouth right now, not advertising it anywhere. If it sells it sells, if not , no biggie. Sooner or later the word will reach a interested buyer...
Well put Robbie! Was wondering if you would be the opening remark or not! Glad to see you weren't taking the weekend off! I've personally not had a need for your services just yet, but I hear nothing but praise.
GERRA, I think it's just a matter of time. No real reason that I know of. If your parts are sticky, give the oven cleaner a go. Remove your ash tray and sample a small part on the inside. It'll cost you $2 and a little time. Did it on both my F355 and F360 - looks great.
Hi El Peligroso, your stuff looks great!!!!!!! can you tell me what kind of cheap cleaner did you use? Im really bored of my sticky Interior. cheers Themis
I just got it....... LOL a cleaner for the oven you wrote... Amazing sorry English not mother language!

Robbie did my 348 console earlier this year when I was in the USA. I posted it to him from Las Vegas and he sent the finished product back to LA where I picked it up before flying home. Great job and pleased with Robbie's service. Re the 348 door handles - they are metal I think - can you do them with the oven cleaner ? Has anyone done them and how did they turn out. Is it OK to leave the handles on the car while doing them. I know the oven cleaner can be messy when the goo stars coming off.
Some of you guys are missing the point. The oven cleaner, cheap or expesive is removing the failed finish and lettering, now you have bare plastic no finish. Robbie is removing and refinishing the parts to very close to original for a very reasonable price. He did a lot of parts on my 355 I don't think anybody had as much sticky gooie parts as I did. By the way Robbie has the second best looking 355! They are metal and I wouldn't think oven cleaner would do anything about stickiness. Definately take them off before using any product on them. I use a metal stripper spray to remove the loose grime off of all metal parts, then sandblast them to bare and start with a fresh clean part... If you try them yourself, make sure to use an etching primer first or whatever you spray on them will not last.....
