Very nice group of cars. What is the red Ferrari with the NART sticker on the back? I don't recognize it.

It is a rebody that was done long ago. Long time owner is a well known Ferrari person in the Chicago area. HR are his initials.

The Scottsdale Auto Museum's 250 is looking ready for the run. Spent some time at their shop watching them tune the carbs a week or so ago. Fun watching them go for test rides making sure they will have a reliable grand. Good luck Bill.

That's my friend's one-off Drogo bodied 250. I had the pleasure of co-piloting that car on the Colorado Grand back in '94. It is a fabulous event.

He has an on-line attire boutique called The Finish Line, IIRC. Nice guy. Bought a killer varsity-style jacket with the cavallino rampante from him a few years ago. He advertises sporadically in Cavallino, Forza and FML.

    The car is a Drogo-rebodied 330. OK...just read Daryl's post. Pretty sure it's a 330 but I'm open to clarification.

    Not a 330. Rather a 250 GT PF coupé s/n 0977GT...

Thanks for all the replies. I thought it was probably a one-off, are there any pics of the front? Those Drogo rebodies always look gorgeous from the front IMO.

I love it how in every car gathering there is someone that thinks their car is better than all the others that park between the lines.

Is the white "Rochester" car from St. Louis attending? Not a Ferrari but a post war custom.

Interesting that the #6 pontoon TR used to have a Drogo body on it. I must admit I like the current body better. I understand that body is on another car now.

The wallpaper picture on my cell phone is this car (0977GT) pulling out of a hotel parking space at the FCA Annual Meet in Elkhart Lake. Car sounds and looks amazing in person, quite special. The steering wheel is unique, very small similar size to a F1 car of that era.

I did a story on HR's car for FML in 1997 and enjoyed driving it with him near his Illinois home: very interesting car and he has certainly used it very very extensively doing many Colorado Grands and other events. It used to have the underside of the nose painted black but it now looks much more harmonious.

Sadly I had to miss the show this year :(
Why do they have these beauties all cooped up in a dingy dark garage these days???
(I thought they did it one year due to poor weather).
It was so much more fun when the concours was outside on the main Lionshead walkway!
Wish they would do that again!

The Grand has the display "as finished" (1093 miles), at Lionshead every year, last day

Vail Cascade Resort's garage is for preparation and staging

    No photographs from Friday?
