I took my 2004 360 Modena in for it's annual service today.

I have had the car for a little over a year and had it serviced when I bought it. It had a little under 10,000 miles on it when I bought it and I have driven it about 1,000 miles.

I had been hearing some clicking sounds when I started the car and it didn't fire up right away. So I had my mechanic check it out.

Turns out I need a new starter. Ugh.

So, in the first year/1,000 miles, I have needed, a new clutch, engine mounts, oxygen sensor, gas cap (don't laugh - it was$300!!) and a new rear speaker setup. I have also had three check engine light issues - but none in the past 6-months.

My 2007 Porsche Turbo has needed exactly zero parts replaced and has only needed 1 scheduled service in almost 3 years of ownership.

But I still love the Ferrari and would buy it again!!

Why do these cars make us so crazy?? :)

Yeah, I agree. My Porsches needed nothing to little. Ferrari, the worst high-maintenance beach you will probably ever own. When i call it a day, I'll own a Porsche. But for now, nothing comes close to driving my Ferrari.

    Hang in there.

I know. I had a motorcycle accident about 2 months after I bought it that kept me from driving for nearly 6 months.

I drive my Porsche daily. I try to get out in the Ferrari at least once a week.

I have had my nearly a year as well. I had better luck, so far just had to replace shifter bushing. That is it, been most reliable car I have ever owned. I bought it when it had 12k miles, so far I have put 5000miles on it. These cars need to be driven, not sit in garage.

My car is 2004 with 14000 miles and not a problem. I Change the oil and all the liquids every year. A new clutch (under 10K miles) sounds like the previous owner abused the car.

mine has 16k miles.. only thing I have changed was one 02 sensor.. had it 3+ years

I do notice both ferrari and maserati sometimes have irregular starts (wierd idle for a few seconds) but I do not let it concern me much.. after it settles the car drives fine..

    My issue was something different.

When I turned the key, all I would hear was a clicking sound like the battery was dead.

It would start after a second or two - but there was definitely a problem.

I need to drive the car more often for sure.

Hopefully most of your problems are over for the moment. That is a lot of work for only a year of ownership.

Yeah it is. The real problem was that it sat for 6 months while I recovered from a really bad motorcycle accident I was in.

I didn't drive at all during that time.

While it sat, the clutch sensor went bad and that caused the clutch to go out.

If not for the clutch replacement, I would consider it a pretty solid car.

It is running perfectly now. Knock on wood!
