Felipe Massa has not been relocated to a purely supportive role for the rest of the 2010 season, Ferrari team Stefano Domenicali has insisted. http://bit.ly/9QVyJL

Of course not, it is against FIA rules to have team order. :)

I believe him, Massa has been in the supporting role from the first race of this year. Nothing has changed.

Felipe was demoted and placed on a leash the minute the ink dried on FA's contract. There is only 1 driver at Ferrari with the freedom to race and its not Felipe.

Strictly speaking he isn't. The word purely is the key to his statement.
Besides that, conforming with the FIA's rule means engaging in 1984 style "Newspeak".

Just another reason why Stefano is the wrong guy.

Back in Enzo's day he signed more drivers than there were rides. This a) ties up potential compeditors; and b) makes the drivers try that bit harder, as they need to earn-and keep-their seat. Just look at '67- Amon, Parkes, Scarfiotti and Bandini for two F1 drives.

I'd sign Fernando, Felipe and...Kubika. Make 'em shoot it out.

Oh, and I'd also Ferrari restart a Le Mans campaign and have our comparativly lazy current F1 drivers have to develop and race the car- Sebring, Daytona, Le Mans, etc.

    But that's just me...

    Fixed it.

Lets face it: He was always the support driver:
To Schumacher, to Kimi and now to Alonso.

Only in 2008 was he free to race because Kimi was too busy taking a **** and being cool and all.

If anybody has a different opinion, then just take a look at the driver salaries.
