unless there is some serious color issue with the picture or my monitor, that looks like nothing like Prugna.

Image certainly does not give the impression of the right color, but it might just be an affect of the lighting (bright sun) and exposure settings (metallics can shift a lot depending on lighting).

I recall seeing some pics of Prugna 308s in the "Let's see all our 308" thread, that gave the impression of the right color, but even in those cases, the color appeared to be a bit too "brown" in cast...

I have a Prugna 308 QV and the color definitely is sensitive to lighting conditions. Depending upon conditions it is light burgundy while in other conditions it gets distinct purple tones. The car is in my avatar.

    I know that car!
The color is Rosso Cordoba not Prugna.
By the way, your microswitch and bracket now live in this car. :)

Here is another photo from that event. I thought Prugna was more plumb color, but I don't know why they would advertise their event featuring a rare Prugna Dino?

From the paint swatches I have and the 328 my friend has in Prugna, it is definitely an eggplant color.

I don't know who told them it was Prugna. I guess it sounds better then Cordoba. When they interviewed us, they asked the name of the color and we told them Rosso Cordoba. I do not think the web sites posting these articles are related to the event. They appear to be general articles about events going on in the Hamptons.

You are correct, it is a metalic color!

The GTS in this thread is definitely Rosso Cordoba.
Rosso Cordoba has a lot of brown in it, but not nearly as much as it appears on the first photo. Without sunlight it almost leans towards maroon. Prugna, as I understand it, is indeed plum colored and leans more towards blue/violet. Alfa had a Prugna color for their GTVs and Berlinas around the same time. I believe it was almost identical to Ferrari´s Prugna. Below is a GTV and a Giulia 1300 Super in Prugna. I don´t believe I have ever seen a picture of a Dino in this color. I guess we all have to keep looking. There must be one out there somewhere.

Tom (TKO) - Thanks, nice photo!

Prugna changes color a lot according to the lighting conditions; bright & sunny, overcast, sun side, shadow side. The photos that have the color the darkest were taken when there was cloud cover and starting to rain.

In very bright sunlight the color becomes very red/maroon with a lot less purple tones.

Can't say if there was a color mix change from the 246 days to 1985.
