Sounds like an awesome trip, i can hardly imagine watching Ferrari in on home turf i really want to watch another F1 race live, last time i just watched the Malaysian GP which kind of sucked because it was hotter than hell and rained also. But the experience was amazing.

Did you get to chat with Alonso?

Not a chance to chat in the box on sunday or at the Restaurant Cavallino, but would you believe yesterday evening we had booked Restaurant Montana and when we arrived they were prepared for a large bus party in the main room so put us in the private back room with only four tables. Shortly afterwards Fernando and his manager Luis arived for a quiet dinner in the room which Rosella cooked up special for him after she discussed what he fancied.
We did get a chance to have a quick hello and congrats when he arrived and a short chat with the goodbyes as he left, but nothing more.
He was very much "off-duty", dressed casual with no "uniform" or badges so did not want to impose or push for photo. Already have loads of those from the other "appearances" he made over the week.
Given that I booked the restaurants back in eary July, the timing could not have been better.

The weather has been fantastic too.

Will try to post the best ones when I get back. Took loads!! They are all a bit big to attach unless I shrink their resolution and that will take time. I have also never used a photo site to post them to, but might try that.

Great! Look forward to seeing them. If it helps I've been using Flickr for a while now for my photos, and it seems an excellent service. I always upload smaller pics, but I believe you can upload the original full-res images no problem at all without taking the time to resize, as you would here.

Some clients have asked me if i have an exhaust upgrade for the 458 which seems odd, i heard one briefly pulling out from IMSS in ALC and it sounds sweet.

I got a test drive last week in one and at low rpm the sound is not that loud. But if you rev it then the sound is very nice :) But I don't know if there's a difference between German and HK cars.

BTW, next week wednesday (september 22nd) I'm again in HK, is there any Ferrari related event going on? Thanks :)

Once the parts arrived, the job takes a few hours. Parts seemed to arrive in most places in Asia at about the same time

It is a new model, next new model will be better. It will go to make room for a 458 Spider.

458 is even a bigger leap forward over the Scuderia than the 599 was over the 575. It is an unbelievably great car. And best of all 458 is less expensive new than the Scuderia was.

Sound effect compared with 430 is fantastic. Even like the 458 sound more than the Scuderia. Car is quiet until pushed and then Mr Hyde turns into Dr J!!!

I am a big fan of the silver calipers with the sports rims. Calipers are super prominent and agree with you that other colours look too showy. If not silver, then I would go for black

Always a fan of the 430 sound, not to mention the Scud. It must be truly amazing if the 458 can beat both!

Finally had my first sighting of a yellow one today during lunch in central! It does have a very beautiful overall shape...

Something hugely different from a Ferrari. My first ever car that is both turbo charged and supercharged....

My 458 is a computer generated PK number!!!
