Checkout this car for those worried about putting miles on their F car http://www.abarth695tributoferrari.com/
Haha that's funny. It does raise an interesting point, though. What do you non-zillionaires drive as your alt car? I have a charger SRT8 right now that I am probably going to keep when I get my f430 next year. Ideally I'd like to have a CTS-V as my alt car, but I'm pretty sure my wife would remind me that it's unwise to buy two new cars in the same year...
I'm just waiting for them to hit our shores. There will be a Giallio Modena one parked next to my 360.
I believe I saw one in London recently or maybe it was a SMART with a full conversion? I'm going to find the picture and post it.
Fernando seems to like it...;-) We ran into him at Ristorante Cavallino last Monday, nice guy and more than willing to pose for pictures and giving autographs. But then it's easy to do that after a nice win! ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Despite his recent success on the racetrack, Fernando must be having financial problems ----- driving around now in his Abarth "clown car".....plus, his Valet has apparently been reduced to sleeping in his clothes somewhere
More or less, it's my drug of choice and I need a regular fix!! I've got an A6 to ferry the kids about and for foul weather duty.
These cars were built to do this. Yes, there have been a few issues, however no more than I experienced with my previous 911. I just cannot see the point in endlessly fretting about the whole mileage thing. We buy these cars because we love them, the way they look and the way they drive. Why deny yourself the pleasure? I must admit though, I don't do the commuting thing and most of those 12000 miles have been purely for pleasure, going no-where in particular! I just choose to have my pleasure on a daily basis when possible! I run another car because I have to, 3 kids don't fit in a 360, not because I'm terrified of using the F-car because of mileage considerations. It's running better now than ever and compared to the depreciation of a similar priced Jaguar or big Mercedes I'm not doing so badly. Bottom line, driving it makes me happy, so depreciation is a price worth paying. If anyone thinks that's sad or doesn't get that attitude, then we're not going to get on I'm afraid! Happy motoring. -and compared to running a decent boat it's the bargain of the century...
