    Hey guys, did the car ever come with this as an option?

    stereo was an option on CS. it was a becker head unit.

    ahh my one has a Blaupunkt... no one else here can say the same?

    I think the factory radios were all Beckers, but Blaupunkts are popular because they fit the opening and I think the factory harnesses hook up in the back.

    It's a standard sized single DIN slot, all single DIN radios will fit whether it be Sony, Pioneers, Alpine etc, most if not all also have the same ISO connector for the factory harness although not all ISO plugs are wired in a standard configuration.

    Yes, that's what I meant. The Blaupunkt's ISO socket is, I think, wired the same as the Becker, so you can use either. I say that mainly based on fact my car has a Blaupunkt and seems to have no mods to the ISO plug.

    hmmm ill check if a becker headunit just plugs straight into the wiring harness.
