I think the 612 will be very nice to be Coed :)

@ under S$500K for a 5yr old, it looks pretty decent to me & most are mint anyway.

They quote that it does 4.2 secs, that's very fast for a 2+2. Incidentally, I saw a bright orangey red in my carpark just two days ago. Looks very racy, a little brighter than rosso corsa not sure if it's the scud color?

Audi, I just bought something similar to the E type & a roadster but 30yrs younger :D

Paper @ S$137K. Assuming we are willing to pay S$100K for the body & the balance on COE @ S$40K then. This car will be just S$280K for 10yrs, I bet dealers will be calling for S$300K then & it'll still thump many 2+2 coupes by then.

If u guys study carefully, the winglet does the job. It's in line with the wing mirrors & the rather crude ducktail which is a black plastic & riveted keeps the butt down.

Similar to E-type as in it is British? Or looks? Hmm.. What car in the 90s fits the bill? I can only think of handbuilts like the Marcos or the Jag XK which does look like a modern e-type. Can't be an XJS?

XK8 convertible :) black again :( it has the same nose as Mk1? type E

Always lusted this when i was younger, had missed several XJSs & they were all coupes. Most of the XKs were exported due to 80% parf & this is the only 1 I've seen in years & convertible! That dealer must be laughing away...... Honestly, I don't know what to do with it or how to hide it, I'm supposed to buy a manual 911.

Am thinking if I should do the James Bond metallic green car driven by the baddie Korean boy. They used 2kg of gold to mix the green for that car

or British Racing Green? Am thinking of adding louvres on the long bonnet :D or even shoehorn a supercharger :D It's triple black now.

Now it's all British! er well, this one Ford & the other a VW....

Thanks! Will you be around next week between Tues or Thurs?

Congrats Jon! The XK8 is still a beauty up till now. I think British Racing Green would be a very nice colour for the XK. How does the James Bond metallic green look?

So I guessed right! That first gen XK looks better than the latest incarnation, smoother lines. Very pretty car and congrats! How did you find this old gal for sale? They don't come by often. The thought of getting an XK has crossed my mind before, so great minds do indeed think a like.

Jon, is your XK the 6 or 8 cylinder model? I find them generally reliable despite what others may say and parts are easy to get from UK.

V8 4.0. 1st gen so rd tax is erm $5K+

Got lucky on this. Found it @ 3am this morning & bought it within 30mins @ lunch, let's hope the PPI turns out well. It does drive very smoothly but no punch & needs a new shock, am looking for upgrades or maybe just buy an XKR & swap for parts!

A mint XKR is just S$30K+ on ebay..... U boys want to share? Bet u're a better detail guy than me :D

Yah, that car is a cruiser. How's the roof? Any complex gymnastics required and potentially problems as car ages? Nothing beats the good ol Alfa Spider's roof, a one hand operation. Just keep the joints lube and no electronics to bother you.

For the 20inch wheels your current PZero would be one of the better options already.
