I left for a cruise 3 weeks ago. The Mondial was running, all seemed good. I came home and decided it was a nice day to take a cruise in the car. The car would turn over but never would start. My timing lite shows no spark to the plugs, and i don't hear the fuel pump come on. I checked the relays and the fuse. They seemed okay, I swapped them out with other relays. I thought the problem could have been caused by me trying to put a permanent fix on a band aid job I did the last time I couldn't get it running. I hard wired tdc sensors cables together because I had to break the plug and jack last time to get it running. Another problem, when the key is turned to position 2 the car cranks over. Any ideas about that one. I swapped out the ignition switch relay and it still did it. I am opened to all ideas for help. Also where can I buy relays? my local vendors carry a few no name generics but I am looking to replace all the ones in the car. Thanks also posted under mondial/308
There are many online sources of Bosch relays - I buy from WayTekWire.com. They no longer carry Bosch but have good Chinese relays at decent prices. Re intermittant electrical, Mondials are as infamous for bad fuseblocks as are 308 cars. See http://www.ferrarichat.com/~ferrari/forum/showthread.php?t=213035
Thanks for the info on the relays. My car had the new fuse box installed before I bought it. thanks again bruce
