we made it in this morning about 6:30 AM. we're staying at Stamford Plaza, which is really nice and great river view from room. checked in, had breakfast, and then just got in a 90 minute nap as we had only slept 2-3 hours in last 36 hours. It is 8pm Monday back home now! :)

headed for a run in this beautiful weather before lunch. ;)

plans on for Thursday night dinner?

also, anyone from Brisbane Ferrari on here? what names should I use and NOT use when I go in there? :D

We had a great run along the river, awesome path, especially the floating section. Might try to do the Ferrari dealer today and then go from there shopping and dinner.

Tomorrow is really the only day Jennie has to work here.

run along the river is ok but look out for those dickhead cyclists and muggers
we've got dinner at Breakfast Creek Hotel down for Thursday night 6:30pm, about 15-20 mins from your hotel, go via the ICB (inner city bypass) and then turn left at the end of it .... try using this thing called the internet google maps :p
could be but they're not going to say as it could be bad for business :)
Not a bad Ferrari outlet and some nice folk there, say hi to Keith the service manager, we all have him on speed dial

    Go through the valley...
Turn left out of your hotel, take the first right, then right again, and follow along eagle st, towards the valley. You need to take Wickham st, it will take you right there. Keep going straight along wickham and you cant miss it!

    I wouldn't recommend ICB.

As you turn left at the lights of wickham just before Kingsford Smith you drive right along side their parking lot...

Ferrari Brisbane was great, so different from dealership visits in the states. In the states you are subject to being ignored, no smiles, and look overs from shoes to hair. Maybe an effective sales technique as it pisses you off so much you prove your worth by buying a car right there or you tell them FU and go to another dealer to buy a car and rub in their face (maybe they get a kickback under the table from the new dealer). :)

First of all, Ferrari of Brisbane is a really neat setup with all the glass compartments and layout. Although a yank in rugged jeans everyone approached us with a smile and very nice (maybe more to do with Jennie). ;) Going upstairs they offered a coffee and I ended up with a "short black" made by one of your beautiful Australians at front desk (Amy?). We browsed the solid inventory GranTurismo, QP, Cali, several 599's, 360, several 430's, and Gallardo. One of the newer salesman was very patient as I asked about your taxing system and how Ferraris sell for about 40-50% higher here than the states. I know you have less taxes in all the other areas where we get nailed, but honestly it seems those taxes must have a real damper on your exotic market. Also explained where everything has to be advertised full price no hidden costs verse states where they advertise just the starting point.

I believe it was Dayne we eventually started talking to, one of the more senior sales people. He was very nice and had more questions about America than I had about the dealership or Australia. Unfortunately when our conversation was just getting going about an American politician that thinks masturbation is a sin, he was pulled away to address something. I never even mentioned the F word (FChat).

So kudos to Ferrari Brisbane as without a doubt my best dealership experience out of the dozens I've been to.
