I could be VERY WRONG, but there MAY BE several models of them depending on year of car.

I got a REPO off of eBay for under $150 awhile back and it WOULD NOT WORK in my '81. :(

Have not gotten around to get inside the door to figure out why.

Can any of the gurus clarify this? Are there (slightly) different configurations from year to year?

FWIW, I do know for a fact that the 328 crank tool won't work in the '80-'82 308 2Vi cars :)

That might explain it. Wrong tool for the right (my) car.

    Edwardo,

I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow of the two I have. One like I said, DOES NOT WORK in my 81 308. The other I will check.

    Edwardo,

Had "Manditory Fun Time" tonight and will again tomorrow.

It is the tips and "wings" that matter. From the pic above I cannot see anything (sorry, eraser) to make a proper determination. I can tell you both of mine look similar but one does not work. I think it is too long but I have not really paid attention to it.

I'l pic them side-by-side with a measuring device for reference and provide a better write-up this weekend. Don't want you buying garbage you cannot "fix."

    Sorry for the delay.

Here is the one for the 85 QV. As you can see the 2 sides have broken off. This is the one I am looking for. If I can't find one I'll repair it and then make a mold to cast a new part.

The plastic T-handle emergency window crank became standard from the QV model 308's.My 1984 GTS has one and it is shown in my 1983 Factory parts manual as part of the toolkit! Tony Randazzo's has one for sale on Fleabay at the moment under Testarossa parts(they are identical parts)but not cheap!

They are rare and if you can mold Repo one's I'm sure you would have lots of takers!

The metal ones were used on all earlier cars, including 2v injected cars!

Cost saving by Ferrari....after all the 4V motor cost them more to produce, LOL!

I'm happy to mold them if others need them. I might as well, I have all of the mold materials.

It amazes me that a car company would include a manual crank for when the power windows fail. How's that for confidence in your electrics!

    Edwardo,

Just looked. My two look JUST like the one in the pic from the post (#8) I quote above from eracer.

NEITHER WORKS. Too dark to tell exactly why. Perhaps I can see in the morning.

Mine is a 1981 North American, not US Version.

I'll get back to you yet again. :(

    M,

Your window motors should be Exactly, like mine.
    Maybe your cables are twisted....?

Can you give me the dimensions and the length of the connecting tip.
I know I can build one out of 316 stainless steel tube.

(Or, I would like to BUY, or trade Ferrari stuff,, for your extra handle....?, ( Missing any tools....? mine all say Ferrari on them))
    :)

    PM me.

    I know I'm replying to an 11-yr old thread...in any case ;)

My 2008 Hyundai came with one for the sunroof, so it's not just a lack of faith in Lucas electronics.
