Jon, how is the roof of the XK? Complex or simple operation?

 

Yo, easy. One button operation & takes abt 25 secs to complete. It seems to even operate while on slow move! Glass back too. I'll be buying a GRP tonneau cover for it which looks like a 911 Speedster hump.

Sent it to my mechanic to replace a front shock & general check. Did 70km with her last night & she's surprisingly very very quiet & silky smooth (good sign that engine & trans are strong). Might just keep it stock as she's fantastic for moving around undetected

Btw, I was reading Forza & there's a company that does hardtop cover for your 355 spider.

 

Don't mod the exhaust, it is a gentleman's car. As for the hardtop on the 355, how do they propose to keep the seal watertight? Not to mention the attachment to the body without removing the paintwork? It wouldn't be light even in aluminium.

 

And if you count special edition runs, it's 21 thanks to the Sports Classic

Thanks. Was it first done on a black 355? If yes, that guy is also on F-Chat. He removed the entire roof system, if I recall correctly.

 

No idea. Think u can ask the American guys, it's an advertisement showing a red roof. Should have generic rubber seals all round to keep wind noise & water away.
