Been casually looking at older 360 spiders, and seems to be a price drop off for "euro" models. Is that a fact or just coincidence? Any disadvantages to owning a euro model?

In the US, they are worth less and generally are harder to sell.

Normally 10 to 20% less. Less to buy = less to sell. I had a 99 coupe, more hp and lighter than a US car. I also had a 01 spider. The main thing to make sure you have is the import papers EPA and DOT. Also of course a full PPI. Nothing wrong with a Euro car as long as you understand they sell for less

The "sells for less" idea sounds like a pretty good one if you are buying, especially if the product is, for all practical purposes, identical to the more expensive one.

    Are they worth less? NO
Do they sell for less? YES
If the car checks out ok I would go for it.

Of course they are worth less. I had one, a '99. There were problems with the emissions equipment and I had to ship it back east on my dime to get it fixed (to one of the major federalizers). So, you've got to deal with the potential of non-factory equipment problems.
These potential issues lower the value.

Do they sell for less? Yes. Because it's been determined very clearly over the years they are worth less.

i have an 03 euro spider. I have been watching the back and forth debate for months. As with any car, you need to know the history. The euro version's have about 5 things added to make it meet US standards. Mainly guages and a smog pump. As long has you have Ferrari parts than there is no big deal. It is the cheap conversion companies that "screw" you. If you do your homework, you will get a great car.
Also the euro versions don't have all the other "crap" that the US cars have to have added. So you have a lighter and faster car.

Also for those people that say the US version is better, than why do the US versions have the "precast" manifolds (a ticking time bomb) and the EURO versions do not.....
