    I flew Syd to Toronto once that took around 20hrs :eek:




    The pitstops are bugged, they wont release you if there is a train of cars, I pressed every button just in case and he is like HOLD so I went from 4th to 24th :(

    With a 360 controller I'm struggling with anything more then medium setting.

    I remember the EOArts pitstops were equally bad: you had to press certain buttons for them to go faster but even then they were slower than the competition which is why I pick race distances short enough to not have them

    Race decisions are overly sensitive. Going 2 wheels on some curbs is considered corner cutting even if the 2wheels are on the actual curb. If you spin off and there is a car nearby you get called up for illegal blocking.

    The graphics have blown me away, such detailed water puddles/effects.

    But that is pretty much it, the driving dynamics and physics are as I expected but still good.

    I picked up a G27 today but the cockpit frame won't be back from powder coating for another week. In the meantime I'll use the regular controller.

    Yeah I remember, seeing an Outback Steakhouse in Melbourne and a KFC in Caines. I lmao when I saw the KFC. Oh and Hungry Jack instead of Burger King. We flew from Nashville to LAX to Sydney to Caines. All in all I think it was 24 hours in the air. :(

    I remember wishing I could just turn the pit stops off in F1 CE. I didn't like racing without them though. Something about not having the tires go off and getting faster as the fuel ran out.

    I'm at Shanghai now and just about fed up with this game already. Too many stupid blocking, contact, and dangerous maneuver calls. This coupled with my magic spinouts at low speed, low throttle on the dry tarmac. Bahrain had 1 turn that I had to basically do 20mph over or I'd spin in place like it was ice. Shanghai's been doing it on a few corners, too. I don't want to resort to turning TC to full. I haven't had these problems this bad with any other racing game. It seems to get worse the better I'm doing. Tires/engine will be fine, but oops, all of a sudden I'm in a magic spin! Australia was awesome, though, so maybe I'm just having troubles with this track.

    You can avoid pit problems if you set the lap 1 ahead or 1 behind the suggested lap.

    Just tried full TC, optimal tires, dry track, and still spinning out like crazy, even when lightly feathering the throttle. I rage quit and don't know if I'll play this again any time soon...

    I was trying to qualify. Rosberg who is 2 car ahead spins in the middle of the track on a corner. Massa hits him and I hit Massa no way to avoid Massa and they give me a 5 grid penalty :rolleyes:

    Yeah I have had some magic low speed spinouts too.



    On the forums they have a sticky about the pitstop bug and are working to get a patch out soon.

    I got the same text message from Gamestop as others and so far it's still not in stock, BestBuy says they have it so if GS doesn't have it in by the time I get to BB they're out of luck. I was reading on the forums how the mom and pop stores seem to be getting it well ahead of Gamestop and BestBuy, not the greatest way to launch a game.

    On Tuesday, they told me Wednesday at open.

    Wednesday, they told me Friday.

    Wednesday eve, get a text msg saying available Thursday afternoon.

    im just using the auto gearbox and thats it right now everything else is off and not having any problems. it is a pain to try to get the g27 to drive right though I cant use the presets at all.
    im using 5 steering deadzone
    50 steering saturation
    35 steering linearity
    and that seems to be working pretty good could still use some adjustment but with it being percentage based dont think i can get it any better using just the game.

    ferrari virtual academy drives alot better than this does but its still okay. at least on par with forza but still light years away from fva or iracing.

    What platform are most of you playing this on?



    Debating on whether to go PC or PS3....they can both be played on the same TV.

    On the one hand, it's been ported to the PC, so it might not look as good. On the other hand, the mods on the PC version should be fun.

    the graphic and sound are just great in this game

    but share the same opinion as anyone else, stupid rules and some part on track spins me rather i spin myself out

    tyre puncture? i get it twice at bahrain..lap 22 come in then lap 30 rear puncture then lap 40 my front puncture again how unbelievable

    codemaster should get this problem fix, its spoiling this fun game

    Even tho it's a port they put DX11 effects in and of course you can run resolution much higher as well as much higher AA.

    Plus 99% of PS3/Xbox360 games that claim to be 1080p is just a rort. Native res for most games on both platforms are 720p or less. They usually upscale for 1080p. GT5(as did gt5 prologue) will be one of the few games that does run 1080p. Dirt2 ran 720p native so it would be similar for F1-2010.


    At the end of the day it's a game designed for consoles so it will never be as good as some dedicated PC sims out there but it's still a sim. I don't find it arcadey in anyway.








    Saying all that I went for xbox360 :eek: :D



    I'm about 1/2 into my 1st season and the "interviews" questions are practically the same each week and it doesn't feel like I'm getting any feedback from the answers. It's like they added it as an afterthought. If they had newspaper/magazine/media updates like they do in Football Manager 20xx it might of been a cool edition.

    Alright I need some help in choosing difficulty level. I did Bahrain on medium and it was so easy and I placed first. So changed it to Expert and I couldn't even control the car. I'm thinking of going with hard with medium TC and ABS. I don't know how you guys do it who are playing with everything off.
