Lotus Racing founder and team principal Tony Fernandes has hit out at the cost-cutting measures implemented in F1 this year,
arguing that far from reducing expenditure, some of them have in actual fact driven it up.

Thanks to Mr. Fernandes A.K.A. Captain Obvious. No kidding. Every time they change a rule or regulation to "cut costs" they have to redesign, test.................We all know. The FIA and FOM are out of control and there is no one to keep them in check, and the fans pay for it. If we wanted a spec series, we go watch anything but F1.

Oh my! The emperor has no clothes.
    Whooda thunk?
If he's just realizing this there is even less hope for Lotus than I thought.

Oh, and while we're at it, in the name if cost cutting -
by all means - let's add a couple more races on the
other side of the planet to the calendar.

We all know this - everyone who thinks about it for a moment knows it - but until now nobody has actually stood up and said it out loud so that it becomes an issue that can be resolved.

About time it became a real topic rather than an underground murmur!

When JT and the big boys find it in THEIR interest something will happen. As of now forcing out the manufacturers and reducing the clout of the remaining teams by keeping them financially dependent on Bernie and the FIA is the main objective.
