ive heard walter wolfs first countach was a white L400 with a roof mounted wing. then followed by the red car with bravo's, blue and the first production LP400S in a darker blue?

the red car was the first to be heavily modified.

    cheers

these pics show how the ANSA SPORT mounts on a carbed countach (a DD in this case, but it is the same for all older cars)

you can see where it is attached to the chassis and the single central support

these are not pics from the installation of exhaust, install was done well over 2 years ago, but the car was on the lift without a rear wheel and it was a good opportunity to look underside

never found similar pics on the net, so i think they may be usefull to someone in need to install his sport exhaust

at the Foxwood show (we missed you Peter...), I found an attorney from MA that claims having 3 400 one that was the converted turbo + 400S by Bob Wallace. I'll follow up since i got his e mail.

Peter, you missed the "911 racing call" soemone made resulting is a police barrage on Sunday morning. As usual in such case I am always pointed to pull over. Was quite a show since we had several exostics on the side of the driveway exit and a taffic jam quily built up putting the cop under high stress..
We were not racing. we were traveling in group. Big difference... So he let us go... Someone i met later at the show has made a yourtube video but he did not sent it to me as he said he would. :(
you also missed the models and the new England Misses who came to chat with some of the guys at the bar...

This is why I like to stay away from exotic car drives. I know I will never race or drive aggressively but once you get a more than a handful of cars.........

I'm the guy who takes his cars out at 6am or 7am on Sunday mornings when other people are still rolling around on their morning hard ons.
My pleasure is from driving these cars....not being seen in them.

Thanks Emilio for the pics, were you thinking of me? ;)

BTW, is that exhaust shield specific to the DD cars? (with the downward points on the edges)

I have a brand new one if anyone needs it, its not correct for the lp400.

Was out today in a big car run on a rare beautiful Autumn day in Scotland. Had a large variety of modern cars on the run. Was being headed by a Noble M20 and tweaked Audi S4 and then a 500bhp Ultima. I think newer car drivers forget how fast these old cars are! A couple of times i went to 7000rpm to catch up after being held up by normal traffic but otherwise using 4-5000rpm to keep pace with the moderns! Such a shame as ours seem to really get going above 5000rpm and at those speeds would loose most modern cars (and my license and liberty)
When people complain about these cars being heavy on fuel they forget that many moderns with trick ECU's and Turbos guzzle fuel to let their small capacity engines pretend to be a big capacity one!
We are lucky up here in that we still have some great open roads in beautiful scenery and light traffic.
Car also feels so much better after giving it a good hard drive!
    Great to be alive!!
    Paul

The one on the left is rare, another Wolf look CT with a white interior. The ones I've seen in is Red with black interior CT (in Japan) and also Red with black interior in Sand Diego.
