That's the fully scale styling model which is on display in a Church in Soriano, Italy....
Granted it is a wonderful car and granted it is Italy but the idea of a car in a church seems a bit OTT Good luck, D
Blasphemy - my fellow petrol-heads, we cannot let this stand!! Burn the unbeliever!! All the best, Andrew.
The two most important things in Italy, my friend: Ferrari and the Church. I'd say it was a match made in.... the wind tunnel. _J
Porcamiserio! And I thought the two most important Italian things were "Pizza and wine". At least that's what their anthem's rythm works with.
Just told my dad about the race and how I am determined to get there. He said if I can pay half then I can go. In college in New England now so I have to get a job and work my butt off but I will make it happen. Can't wait!

This is like waiting for a baby to be born, just more pictures. Jim, Thanks for the facebook page too...
Jim, This question probably warrants another thread. But do you, or anyone else, have recommendation for accomodations at or near the track? I know that camping seems to be widely popular, but I'd rather not for something like this. Call me a poor sport, but I want a shower dammit.
From What I understand there are several hotels near the track including one at the track. We'll soon be posting information on our facebook site but the Ring site has information on hotels as well. Here's a start: http://www.booking.com/landmark/de/nuerburgring-racetrack.en.html?aid=314920;label=nuerburgring-racetrack-hfrXv_ZQ_zq7UEB3pboOPQS3504743938;ws=&gclid=CIDopdvQoKQCFZZM5QodLnx76A
Speaking of practises, are there any rules or regulations regarding how much testing or what type of testing you do? Or is it pretty much open for you to do whatever you feel is appropriate? All the best, Andrew.
Thank you very kindly. I will start looking into the logistics of the trip right now. I "Liked" your Facebook page. Thanks for creating it, it will be enjoyable to watch the progress of this machine and team!
Hey Jim, throughout all the 69 pages so far I thought I saw that you might consider a second P4/5 Competizione. If this will not be the last horse from Scuderia Glickenhaus, myself as well as many others have wondered about the possibility of a potential Ferrari le mans prototype. It could perhaps have a construction similar to that of the Mazda Taiki concept, except based on a Lola similar to the Aston Martin or for more regular daily use the road legal Radical chassis. About the current project, will the P4/5C like the GT2 430's run on cellulosic e85. Also, thanks for all the updates.
We will be talking to the Le Mans organisers and we shall see. Our quest is to have fun and give the fans something they'll enjoy watching. Best
That's an interesting thought... Jim, would there be much additional cost in running a second car? I'm presuming that the majority of the cost involved in the project is on development of new parts and hiring technical team members. Would running a second P4/5 Competizione basically just mean ordering parts constructed in duplicate, hiring a second driver, and you're pretty much good to go with a 2-car team? Or is that a bit naive? All the best, Andrew.
We're not going to run a two car team as I want P 4/5 C to remain a one of one. Le Mans is an entire different set of issues and it's early days on that. Not sure that Le Mans is possible but you never know.
I was thinking about that, over the weekend. A two car team definately adds to eyeball exposure...and of course, improves your 'odds". BUT early on in my experience, my two cars ran into each other, in the last laps going for the win.... It was very unpleasant to watch the flare of tempers in the aftermath... ....so there's definate merits to the "all or nothing" approach.... There's only SO much you can write on the Pit Board, and often they ignore it, anyway..
