Carbon fiber dash kit

Has anyone used this e-bay carbon fiber dash kit? Any pics if you have? I am tinkering with the idea of doing carbon fiber, the Ricambi aluminum gauge ring kit, Ricambi aluminum pedals and the passenger foot rest as well as an aluminum shifter knob. A bunch of money, but I'm hoping it will make the interior a little more upgraded.

I have no experience with this kit, but I must say -- I think an F-car deserves better than stick-on interior trim. I know it's awfully expensive, but I would hold off and then spring for the actual molded carbon interior bits. No offense...I also think F-cars deserve better than the stock interior bits

Everything else you want to do sounds sweet, too!

 

If you decide to go with this kit--Strip all the parts down to bare plastic before applying them, if you don't within months those decals will start sliding off as the plastics coating will deteriorate rapidly...

 

Those stick on kits are cheezy - you better off taking the parts and wrapping them in the 3m carbon wrap - it will look a zillion times better

 

I got that kit, turned around and sent it right back. It was total garbage. Use the 3m wrap approach, it would probably be much nicer.

 

does anyone have more details on the 3m wrap approach or the carbon moled pieces. thx.

 

as far as the molded bits go, try Valence USA or MAcarbon.

 

I did it myself it is a little time consuming, take out all the parts you need to do sit in front of your TV and go nuts. Neat thing you screw up reheat and redo, make sure you degrease all parts and buy a glue based primer.

Very nice work with the 3M vinyl.

Definitely better off with 3M and DIY. It's worth it!

 

That looks awesome. I assume the glue based primer is something you spray onto the parts before applying the 3M paper? Looks like you have the gauge rings and floor pedal stuff I am wanting to do too. Do you mind posting the URL for the place you got the fiber paper from?

 

horrible idea on the lowliest of Hondas.... the only thing worse than carbon fiber for the sake of carbon fiber is fake carbon fiber (okay, by far... worse). way yesterday. but that's just my opinion.

 

Sorry I don't my local installer that does clear bras has it in stock.

Sure Bro a 8"JBL (I believe) you must make sure it is free air this means it does not require an enclosed box, bass response is OK but along with my 6" mids in the doors and another set behind my head bass is decent.
