    Anyone on this website for more than a few months knows that one of my best friends owns the restaurant in Miami that Ayrton Senna would have dinner EVERY time he was in Miami. He came to Miami in his private airplane on his way to races in both North America and Europe. He did two things, have dinner at Caffe Abrracci, and go to Orange Blossum Hobbies to feed his love of R/C cars. In fact my friend considers Senna, and another little known athelete named Pele as two of his good friends.

    So when I decided it was time to make a committment to my partner of nearly three years, I asked my friend if I could have my wedding ceremony in his restaurant. Of course he said yes as long as he was the best man. No problem.

    So on September 20, 2010, in front of a very few people I consider family, I finally did it. With complete confidence. The four time mayor of Coral Gables performed a bilingual ceremony since my fiancee is from Mexico, and my youngest daughter stepped in as the Maid Of Honor.

    I believe Senna himself was looking on, and then had his traditional dinner with all of us: lobster ravioli and veal. I do not eat red meat, but that night it did not matter. At any rate, there was an empty seat for him.

    So for all of you Senna fans, he is doing well. Considering the events of July 2007, I am quite happy and very fortunate with the result of that night.

    Congrats and wishing you many years of happiness!

    Years ago I had a friend of mine that was going to Brazil go to Senna's gravesite and place something there for me... he is STILL sorely missed...

    A wonderful occasion and a fitting location.

    I'm sure Ayrton is smiling right now and humbled that you honor him in this manner.

    Very cool, and a lucky man!

    I was at the Gonzalez-Byass Bodega (famous Sherry maker) in Jerez (Spain) last spring and found this on a barrel in the basement...

    Definitely a 'moment' for me, though not quite as momentous as yours.
