One of the red Enzos was out today going east on 2222 west of 360 as I was heading west on 2222 in the Cali! Just when I was feeling smug, along comes an Enzo! But he didn't have a convertible! :)

I also spotted a Nero/black 458 Italia at Ferrari of Austin. This car is brand new (never titled) & for sale. I really like the sport seats! Anyone want to lone me a little cash? :)

It looks like they are doing pretty good. All the Californias are sold & they just took in a white LP560-4 on trade. The maroon 599 went back to the owner who was trying to sell it. They had a few more 430s stashed away in the back. I'm not sure if they were inventory or customer cars.

Oh my, I'm lost in lust. I may be in the distinct minority, but a black 458 is my fav' (as of now).

I always think black cars only look good on the day you buy them, but that does look SPECIAL!

They want 305k for it. I'm thinking wait a year until the prices begin to come down.

Definitely! I wouldn't want to be the person who paid 50K over just to have one of the first fiery versions.

Yesterday I spotted a black Bentley Continental GTC with a tan top parked on Brazos near 9th.

Later in the day I saw another black & tan Bentley CGTC cruising down 9th St with the top down. I thought it was the same car until I looked at the photos & noticed that the first one doesn't have a front plate.

Yesterday I also spotted a black California with a handicap parking permit in my parking garage at 15th & Guadalupe.

Today I spotted a Silver Bentley CGT at 15th & San Antonio. A Sapphire Blue Viper GTS on Lavaca near 11th. And a blue Shelby Cobra replica with cream racing stripes at Artz Rib House on south Lamar.

I don't get a photo of the Cali or the Cobra.

Well said. A part-time professional detailer should come w/ the included maint'/service plan on any/all black high-performance exotic sportscars! :D

    Is that out-the-door or pre-TTL (w/ market-value adjustment add'on)?

FWIW, MSRP sticker shows ~$279,799 & 6.25% new-vehicle sales-tax is ~$17,487, the gas-guzzler tax is ~$2,600. All coming to approx' ~$300k. If "$305k" is out-the-door, may be the other ~$5k is for dealer-installed stuff (ie. Lojack, security-system, clear-bra, paint-sealant, interior/seat/carpet Scotchguard protectant), dealership concierge maint'/service plan, tire road-hazard warranty, paperwork/documentation/prep' costs by dealer (not factory). Just guessing...

I wasn't aware that Ferrari & their dealer network are now doing market-value adjustment? I recall in the past, to acquire a 360 or 430, a prospective owner had to be on a list. And at times to be on this list, they'd have to acquire another concurrent Ferrari model while waiting or have some level of new-vehicle acquisition history w/ Ferrari. And then they were able to pay MSRP for the brand-new 360 or F430. This kept the speculators out (initially). And this was also why a formerly titled, low/micro mileage 360 or 430 generally listed/sold for $25k - $50k more than actual MSRP, to those who weren't on the list and/or wanted it now.

    Any insight on this?

This is an extra car that FNA provided. Anyone can walk in and purchase it. No prior sales history is required.

At 6:35 today I spotted a Grigio Silverstone/Rosso F430 Spider with the top down heading west on Bee Cave near Barton Creek BLVD.

I like the shot of the "back" of the seat...
Ferraris are so cool, you can get an awsome shot of the part of the car that is not usually seen :).

The 360 Challenge Stradale I installed T- belts on last month had carbon fibre seats...Very nice...

We are very fortunate to have TexasMike in our town...;)

Thanks. So $305k & drive-home, huh. Ok, time for me to go find another $250k in the couch - I got the rest covered... ha! :D

Goes w/o saying. The high-performance & exotic sportscar community in Greater Austin seems infinitely smaller (which is a good thing) thanks to TexasMike's pics, insights, and posts/comments.

I was invited to go for a ride in my neighbor's 1974 Daytona this weekend. I even got to drive it for about half an hour. I sure was hoping someone saw us and got a picture. Anyone?

At 4:35pm today I spotted a Rosso Scuderia Challenge Stradale with a stripe at Lamar & 5th St. Seeing a Rosso Scuderia CS with a stripe in the wild gets me just as excited as seeing an Enzo. I would do almost anything to own one.

I just started a new job today in Lakeway. On my way to work I spotted a black/tan California heading east on Bee Cave Rd at 10:42am.

Then I spotted a gray Maserati GT with some cool gray wheels. I'm not sure if the wheels are stock or not but they looked real good.

On my way home from work I spotted a Rosso Corsa 360 Spider F1 with tan interior, shields, challenge grill & a Marine Corps emblem on the rear bumper, driving with the top down. It was heading south on 620 hear 71.

Then I spotted a black F430 Spider with the top down heading west on Bee Cave Rd near Barton Creek Blvd. I only got a photo of the Cali & the Maserati. Sorry, about the poor quality photos.
