A full grid of Formula Fords or Star Mazda's would be *fun* :) [And *way* cheaper!]

    Cheers,

If you're not a skilled driver and have an accident early on, you can't just push "reset" for the next race if you're in a Formula Ford or a Star Mazda. ;)

Furthermore, no risk of whiplash in the simulator... unless there's a knob on it somewhere that let's you turn the feedback up to 11. :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I assume you mean cheaper before: spares, crew, track fees, rebuilds, tires, other consumables, travel, accommodation, safety gear, etc.

Oh yeah; and then you only have that one car.

I've raced in both cars in real life, let me assure you, simulation is *way* cheaper.

We get asked that all the time! Anything is possible.

We could set up a drink bottle system activated by a button on the wheel :)

Way too cool. When I hit the jackpot I'm buying one and having a direct line installed to a Dr. Pepper machine.

That's a really hard question to answer.... There are quite a few road cars in many different of the (pre-loaded) software packages. Mostly supercars though.

This list is organic as well. We are constantly adding content to our customer's simulators.

I think we can do something special for F-chatters. Identify yourselves when you fill out the configurator or call us. We'll hook you up :)

Having driven Chris' sim for about 40 minutes at a show in Pasadena - I can honestly say it is simply amazing! Nothing I've ever tried even comes close!

I walked out of there sweating! It's a workout to fight an F1 at Spa, Monaco, etc.

If someone came to you with a wheel off an F1 car, could you integrate it and have it fully functional?

Yeah, that should be well within our capabilities. We do that sort of stuff for racing teams all the time.

Well, I'd qualify that by asking if the F1 wheel is FULLY FUNCTIONAL. Ferrari sells a
LOT of "empty case" wheels for $2300 USD that have NOTHING inside. They are for
display only. The "original F1 wheel" I'm sure would need to have the original guts
inside... otherwise it would just be a fabrication based on a "wheel shaped object".

Yeah, but we can make anything work. The only limitation is budget.

Well, I FINALLY have an answer to the age old question of 'What do you get a guy who has everything'............................one of these simulators, that's what!

I had the pleasure this afternoon to meet Chris at CXC while banging around with Darth for a few hours before flying home. First off, Chris seems like a genuine, stand up guy who seriously has his heart in this product as his enthusiasm clearly shows it! Upon being invited to look at their newest prototype / production model, I was very impressed with the quality of work that has obviously gone into every visible component. From the precision milled aluminum parts down to the well machined array of components that make up this machine, I could tell that it was top quality all the way. The design is smart and everything is tight!

With the 'Wow Factor' sinking in, Chris invites me to take the machine for a spin in which I started out with a 550 (that was a mistake!) at the Infineon race park. After settling into the more than comfortable seat, the four-point harness gets pulled very tight. Thinking it was a bit much, I soon learned that one really needs the restraint system while driving this beast! I pulled out of the pit garage, took a slow lap to warm up the tires and get use to the track. Then it was balls to the wall!

Doing about 130 up the main grandstand section of track, I downshifted to set up for a sweeping right turn. While going into the turn and accelerating out of it, I could feel the G-Forces that the simulator brilliantly produced against my body. Into the next turn in a bit too aggressive of a manner, I fishtailed all over the place (the 550 was way too much for my first experience) while my body was being thrown left to right in perfect sync with the rear end of the machine. Once out of the wall (yes, I crashed!), I got back on the track and proceeded through a couple more turns into the grand stand straight.

With my heart pounding away in my throat and going through all the gears to red line while passing the grand stands, it was most amazing that my vision was tunneled directly into the track. The machine was a part of me in which my brain had my entire body convinced that I was in a million dollar race car that I had to be careful not to damage! While flying through the course trying my best to keep the car on the track, the machines up, down and lateral axis movements did exactly what they were designed to do and that was to trick your body into believing you are in an actual race car! Break too hard and you feel it.........Lose it on a turn into a 180 and your back and butt really feel it along with the G-Force while your body is getting thrown from side to side.......Floor it down a straight and you are thrown back in your seat until you either break or downshift. Simply amazing!

With the 550 being too much for my ability, Chris changed cars for me in which I was driving (I believe it was) a Formula 1 type that held the track like glue. Because this car really 'stuck' to the track, the G-Forces were much more pronounced and my body had instant appreciation for the seat belt system! After a few laps and nearly breaking into what would have been an uncontrollable sweat, I shut the car down because I knew if I did not, I would have drove it for another hour and would have missed my flight home. Climbing out, I was shaking my head in total awe, still not believing what I just experienced!

Back to this being an item for the guy who has everything, it will also be the last thing a guy would ever want in life! Having this machine in your 'Man Cave' or game room would make you the man of the block. Your friends will always want to have their parties with you at your house and in parallel, it would truly be an impressive item to own while entertaining important clients. Aside from probably being the classiest rich mans' toy, it's truly a one of a kind masterful work of art, a 'must have' machine that is guaranteed to deliver countless hours of 'shake your pants out', white knuckle fun!

Is CSX in a building that also rents and stores exotic cars? If so, I think I've been there. :)
