I went to the dinner with my wife once a few years ago. Never again, too many jerk offs for my taste. I have yet to attend the show and I am sure the experience is different than the dinner, but that dinner left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have been to some of the Tuesday night get togethers and I had a similar experience, why do they let those Porsche guys in :)

Interesting comments. I have always had a good time there.

Unfortunately, this could mean that I am the jerk off these guys are talking about.

But seriously, I have had equal rudeness from Ferrari guys, Porsche guys, and Lamborghini guys.

I don't know what the "jerk offs" were driving but there was certainly and attitude among people in attendance the year we went to the dinner. I don't care what you have or what you drive there is no reason to act like a pompous a** especially to staff.

I went inside to get a couple chairs for my wife and I so we could eat on the patio. Some meathead starts hollering hey, hey, hey at me when I was going back in to get drinks. I turned around and he demanded I bring him a few chairs as well, thinking I worked there. I told him to go get them himself, as I did, with a few extra words thrown in. That was it for me.

That's sad to hear. It wasn't like that in the early years.

I was just joking about the Porsche guys, although the was one Porsche guy that had a Gamballla kit glued on his car and he thought he was the star of the show!! The crowd seemed like most of the other cars shows, it was fine. Weather looks like it is going to be excellent!!

Why don't we have a private, non jerk-off meeting for drinks and hors d'oeuvres at Sienna one night this week. Tonight is the eMeg vs. lifetime state worker debate at 6, so after that, or Wednesday or Thursday night.

Let me know what you think.

    Hey guys.
I am not goin to go to the dinner either but I will be attending the car show. I have never had my car judged before. I am only doing it for the fun of it, I drive my car to much to be competitive. I am just hoping to have a good time. Not to steal the thread but any place I should make sure is clean?
    See you all there

Wow, I'll be staying in the area over the weekend with my family. I'll be doing the Marin drive on Saturday, before making my way up to the Foothills. My brother lives in Shingle Springs. What luck! I'll definitely try to make it out to the show on Sunday. Probably gonna be damn hot out there!

looking at a perfect 85 degrees, they stopped watering the lawn yesterday, so the grass will be in good shape.

You are correct, sir - I need to get back out with you guys soon. Car's running very well now (knock on my wooden head!), but the weekends have just been fully-booked for months. Would have loved to come out for the 458 & Challenge meet and drive this weekend, but it's my wedding anniversary... Might end up in Napa, however, but I realize that's not where you guys're headed...

I'll make it out soon, if I manage to get any control over the weekends.

I may just do that. I've got C's cell # in the iPhone. Are you guys going to the show on Sunday or doing the Napa deal? By the way, congrats on the anniversary! Too bad you can't make it out to Marin on Sat. Looks like our own "moving" concours.
