    Continental organized a great track day for its customers at Autobahnclub's South track. The weather was absolutely perfect and we all had a great time. Not that it mattered much, but breakfast and lunch were great as well. Thanks Continental!

    And special thanks to fellow FChatter speed racer for letting me drive his incredible Scuderia for a few laps. I have a hard time putting my gratitude in words, but lets just say this was one of my happiest days ever. I'm still trying to sort all the emotions, images and impressions from today in my brain. This was one of those days I'll never forget. In a very good way. Thanks Pete!

    Note to self: Next time shoot all the scenes against a green back drop...

    Seriously by editing I mean picking the fastest lap, then overimpose the timer (no cheating!), add the moving track map onto another layer and in the case of my 308 add the graphics for longitudinal and lateral Gs (yeah right!) and the rev counter.

    I'm done with it all now, but I haven't figured out where to put it and in what compression/resolution so it is still viewable but doesn't take forever to download. I'm open to suggestions. Last year I used Flickr for RA footage.

    The hardest part on doing all the overlay stuff is actually synchronization of the data. Most of it is digital and runs on the second of the clock, but finding the proper entry point is mind boggling. Took me several days, but I finally managed. It is so difficult because my cheapo setup doesn't synchronize film and data but are two individual units.

    Thanks to both of you.

    A lot of work goes into making them but they're a treasured keep-sake. And a good bench mark if I ever do this again in a different car. There is LOTS of room for improvement. :)
