The fourth photo in post 1394 is the central part of the flat under-floor. Is going to be attached at the bottom of the car and is the key of the ground effect.

Looks pretty beefy - is it also designed to protect the car if you bottom out for some reason or run over anything?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I don't see one Jim, I think that's the lead of the wire feed welder in his hands, which does have a gas supply to aid in the flux.......

In a well ventilated area the fumes are not bad, we worked outside for the railroad, but the fumes and dust are a major concern over time....

Here's hoping it'll never be used, but a very simple and elegant triangulated design!!!!

The reason it's beefy is that the aerodynamic pressure on it is massive and if it deflects the ground effect is lost. Another reason is the one you suggested. A rock through the floor can leave a mark...

But why does any of that matter when you're going to the Nurburgring? :)

Its true, German motorsport events can get pretty wild when the sun goes down, and the odd naked female (and male) even when the sun it up is not unusual.

You have to remember that being naked in public in Germany does not have the same stigma's attached as most other country's, its apart of there culture and seen as completely natural.

I'm guessing you'd be eligible for the Britcar series in the UK if you needed a shakedown event and/or subsequent 24 hour race

We will be running two 6 hour shakedown races at the Ring early next year.

Perfect, that one was my favorite. Really enjoying being able to watch this unfold, just as I did for P4/5.

It does the P4 justice. Beautiful and purposeful.

Looking at those PS the car looks like your P3/4 sneaked out of the garage one night and found an innocent little 333SP... and here's what happened 9 months later. Very, very cool.

OK. I need some help here. It's getting to the time where we have to choose final colors.

    I'm torn between two thoughts.

The first has a real link with P 4/5 and the second is more retro and links with 0846 and her Sisters.

    Please give me your thoughts.

In both cases I'm leaning to a black wing.

Idea one has two photo's. Photo 1 is near final design. Photo 2 is older stage but with stripes I like. If we go this way P 4/5 C would be close to Photo 1 design wise but with black wing and Stripes as shown in Photo 2.

Photo 3 is other choice but imagine with black wing.
