Red is traditional but black is way sexier.

    Jim...

Red top with black bottom half (think 512 BB) and black wing? Just trying to be different.

I like the red roof throwback but think there needs to be something to break it up--this could be done with black bottom panels.

    Keep the stripe too.

Either way, here's a vote for throwback red.

    P.S.--Any decision on mirrors?

I think the whole stripe should be as wide as the center panel on the roof (that's what I lined it up with originally), then make the blue stripe 1/3 the width of the whole thing.

Those wheels look much better. Are they eligible?

I like this one with the wider stripe and gold wheels and black roof.

    I vote for:
    • Red paint
    • Black roof
    • Black front and rear spoilers
    • A complete and total absence of stripes

Essentially, your image 1 with a black spoiler. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The red roof works better than the black roof if you are going with the 'modern-old' style theme. Especially since you are using black for the spoilers. I would actually do a red body and spoilers for more harmony in the overall design...
Say yes to red white and blue stripes.

Will this be the same custom shade of red that P4/5 wears?

The black 'test car' with the gold wheels was an inspired choice!

The black looks best, but if you're going with Red, strips and black roof are pretty good.

    John,

Could you do that exact set-up without the stripe? Same wheels and roof? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Red retro livery w/current body/tech is a pretty cool contrast.

With the black roof, you lose the 'flow' of the stripes from the front to the back of the car - you have this big, black 'break' in the middle. The red roof allows the stripes more continuity.

My vote goes to the black roof with the carbon fiber mirrors

  21. Chicko

    Chicko Formula 3

My vote is for black roof, black spoiler.

Is the car going have a lot of sponsorship on it? If it is,i would also vote for no stripe, as the car could start to look very busy.

No it will have no sponsorship livery. More like a few stickers as they had in 1967.

Are you still going with the glow in the dark idea from earlier on, or is it out of the equation now.
